Intro to Repeat Pattern - Art or Textiles

This is an introduction to repeat pattern for Art or Textiles. It includes definitions and examples and is broken down into manageable chunks of information with dyselxia friendly fonts and colours. The task within this lesson in to complete a ‘mood board’ of found or collected Patterns - this could easily be adapted to suit a home learning activity.

Groups & Collections 3 - Observational Drawing

(0)
A PowerPoint exploring the theme of ‘Groups & Collections’, with a focus on everyday objects, and developing the skill of first hand observational drawing. This lesson includes warm up drawings, step by step photos of building up shapes and forms and adding tones gradually, with helpful hints and tips. Also included within this Powerpoint is a simple guide to annotation. This resource could be easily edited to use as a stand alone lesson or used alongside my other ‘Groups & Collections’ resources to form the basis of a full project.

Observational Drawing Alphabet - Imagery, Examples and Guidance

(0)
A full alphabet of good quality imagery for students to work from to develop their observational drawing skills. This powerpoint includes prompts and examples of how to build and develop a drawing from observation and would work brilliantly for Remote Learning or long term homework tasks. I originally created this resource as an independent summer task for Year 10 Art GCSE students who were starting a project called ‘Groups and Collections’ but the scaffolding and imagery could be used for any age group.
