Starter is getting students to think about how we classify organisms by getting them to sort cards into categories. No wrong answers! Gives an explanation on phylogenetics, taxonomy and hierarchy. There is a mini question sheet with easier questions to get the students used to the content before moving onto exam questions. Answers are on the powerpoint. Starter is identifying electron micrograph images.Includes three slides recapping GCSE level specialised cells (red blood cell, root hair cell and palisade cell). Main task is a research task for the students on their phones/laptops but students have to use their knowledge to link functions to adaptations.
