Two pages of the key information students need to know about the inheritance topic. I have highlighted the triple and higher only content. I have also included a small amount fo information on cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anaemia and Huntington’s disease, as the specification is vague about particular inherited disease that need to be known and these have commonly be used at GCSE in the past. I hope you and your students find this resource helpful.

OCR 21st Century Biology B7 crib sheets. Due to the module being large I split it into the three main sections with one A4 page of questions for each section. I have tried to incorporate as many key questions linked to the specification as I can onto one page of A4 for each section.

The PDF pages are A4, so you can print them 4 pages on one on card, back to back, so the ‘State the equation linking…’ is on one side and the equation answer is on the other side. This is just designed to help students memorise the physics equations and easy to use for self testing or testing in partners. I have printed the different units on different coloured card so they are easy to separate for particular revision sessions too.

OCR 21st Century Biology B1 Revision Resources. The crib sheet just helps mind map information that students need to know. I cut the hexagons up and get students to match keywords that they can connect and write (using whiteboard pens) on their tables why they matched those keywords. With the board game questions, students either try and answer as many questions as they can in a set amount of time, or they play a board game e.g. snakes and ladders and if they get the question correct they can have another roll of the dice.

A3 sized sheet with prompt questions and spaces to draw diagrams etc to revise the whole responding to the environment topic.*I printed these back to back.

OCR A Level Biology Communication and homeostasis revision. This is a revision resource, with prompt questions to help students recap the whole topic. I print it A3 double sided.

OCR 21st Century Biology B5 Revision Resources. The crib sheet has got questions for students to answer about all the things they need to know for B5. The hexagons have keywords and examples written on them; I cut them up on card and get students to match up words that they can connect together and then they write on the table (using a whiteboard pen) why they have connected those keywords. The keywords table has the answers on the first two pages and just the definitions on the last two pages, so students can research and fill in the keywords.

Quick fire questions and answers for the digestion, cells, microscopes and photosynthesis topics. Students can use these to help memorise the basic knowledge for these topics. They can be used in many ways, such as with a board game, where students have to answer a question correctly to go forward the number of spaces on the dice and backwards that number of spaces if they get the question incorrect.

A revision sheet of questions linked to DNA and enzymes in B1.2. I had to print screen it to save and print it because I'd made lots of boxes that the word document didn't appreciate sorry! The second side is for higher only, looking at transcription and translation.

I cut out the hexagons and get students to match up the keywords they think are connected and then they annotate on the table (using a whiteboard pen) why they matched certain keywords together. The revision sheet is a mind map of things students need to know for B3 (I print it double sided so they have the Carbon and Nitrogen cycles on one side and the other information on the other side).
