The following booklet contains four translation activities based on the new Spanish GCSE AQA Spec Paper 4 (Higher Tier). These are ideal to use after you have completed a topic or for revision purposes. I have included two booklets. One with just the translation as you would sit in an exam and the second is includes a brief word word bank for each translation to aid students. All are editable for your individual class needs.

This workbook contains an array of activities to do with both KS3/4 - Junior Cert and KS5 - Leaving Cert pupils. Each activity can be used individually or the booklet can be used over a series of lessons (A lovely break from the normal lesson format!) My students love this time of the year and it's nice to see them excited about lessons. The booklet includes: Comprehension about St. Valentine & questions A Valentine Vocabulary hunt A crossword puzzle Translation exercises based on romantic comments you would see in cards. Please note the Valentines Vocabulary display is in .PDF ONLY. The booklet is in .doc and .pdf format.

Simple display cards to get your room and your students in the festive Irish spirit. My students love St. Patrick's Day and the display is nice when surrounded by students work. Alternatively use the activity attached also. I use these as a game first to introduce the vocabulary to my students. They are placed around my room and students are given a list of St. Patrick's Day vocabulary in English. They then have to find the Spanish equivalent. It's nice to watch students discover the vocabulary themselves as opposed to looking at a PowerPoint and writing everything down in a vocabulary book. Once the lesson is finished they can go onto a display board. Please note this is a .pdf only

This form has worked wonders for us and has allowed us to get to know our pupils, especially our PP pupils (Pupil Premium), SEN & MAP (More Able Pupils) much better. It must be shown that all students are making progress (Especially since the introduction of the Progress 8 scores) From using these forms we have come up with strategies to help students who are not attaining or reaching their target grades and we have initiated intervention strategies.
