Castle Attack is a group work project aimed at giving students a platform to develop and design working prototypes through modeling and trial and error. The aim to to produce a working trebuchet that is able to fire accuratley. Ideal for delivery in KS3 and KS4. Please look at my other projects that compliment this one.

Bit Stop Bedside Storage. This project will give you a sound understanding of some of the main manufacturing techniques used in industry in order to batch produce products using jigs, templates and formers. Previously gained experience in woods, metals and polymers will also be developed. CNC machining will be introduced in order to create a personalised finished product. I have developed this complete PP for delivery with the new EDEXCEL A Level Coursework. It has links to exam board marking criteria, deadline dates, support documents and examples (links will not work, can email them) to ensure pupils are able to access each section easily.

Complete 10 lesson project that guide students step by step to create an adjustable hard wood desk lamp. Delivers a range of manufacturing skills across a range of materials to build skills and exposure. We deliver this as a training project to our Y12 DT students but could easily be delivered lower down the school with support. Materials include aluminium, hardwood, polystyrene. Main Manufacturing techniques include marking out, mortise cutting, metal lathe turning, vacuum forming.

12 Lesson project that will give students a sound understanding of the main workshop skills involved in forming, wasting and fabricating polymers, metals and woods. Students will learn how to cut, bend and screw thread metals, laser cut polymers, shape and finish wood to create a accurate and usable product. Each lesson has a starter, lesson objectives and a plenary that build through the project. Comprehensive set of ‘job cards’ are provided which include all manufacturing specification details. Series of 9 lessons that deliver training for the examined Unit 3 as part of the new BTEC Tech Award Engineering. The lessons cover isometric and orthographic training as well as SpaceClaim (CAD) training (Unit 1B). They are designed to give students the skills required to complete the Examination they will sit, as well as support the work required to complete Unit 1B (design and produce a prototype). Part of the lessons focus on redrawing products they have previously manufactured (a small passive amplifier, also available in my shop) but could be easily swapped out for an alternative project of your choosing. Includes teaching PowerPoint, Student Booklet, Lesson Plans and Learning Objectives/Starters/Plenaries. A small 6 lesson engineering project (can be used in the run up to Christmas) based on producing a candlestick. Focuses on developing turning and riveting skills. PowerPoint has embedded gif’s to illustrate turning stages which makes it easy for students to follow.

This is a small wood based project that gives pupils an introduction to wood work whilst developing isometric sketching and Photoshop presentation skills. I use this as part of the new AQA GCSE DT course. It includes all resources needed to deliver successfully.
