This is a biography writing unit about the life of infamous Roman Emperor, Constantine. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. Ideal for students learning about Ancient Rome. Perfect for students in Year 5 or Year 6. The first lesson is interactive and involves them cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. A great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the some of the key events of the 20th Century. There are 42 posters or task cards that include many of the key events from the beginning of the 1900s until the end of the century. The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to the 1900s and students looking into the First World War, World War II or other key events of the century. A funny Christmas play script called Santa’s Successor. The script follows the story line of a man who accidentally disrupts Santa’s deliveries and has to take over his route before finding his way to Santa’s work shop. After causing Santa to fall from his rooftop, the man and his two young sons have to finish Santa’s deliveries for the night, and then the reindeers fly them to the North Pole. Once there, they are greeted by two elves, who explain how he must become the new Santa. He then slowly starts turning into Santa, which everybody else finds hard to believe! ⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻ There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too for up to 30 students. The play is around 40-50 minutes long.
