People who care for me PSHE lesson. A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson that serves as a gentle introduction to family problems, and neglectful or abusive relationships.
This lesson has been created for Year 3, as such, the main focus of the lesson is about what we should all expect from caring family relationships and ways that we can seek help if we ever feel unhappy or unsafe.
The contents of the lesson are suitable for students across KS2, and could even be used with lower ability students in year 7.
In this lesson, the students will investigate caring relationships and the different ways that people can care for others. We will look at physical and emotional human needs such as housing, food, clothing, stability and love. We discuss the people who we rely on to provide these things for us and what it could mean if those needs are not met.
The lesson includes an information sheet, a video clip task, a set of discussion cards, a leaflet-based main activity, and a plenary task.
Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.

The lesson is best suited to KS3. **
Students will investigate what we mean by trust, how to recognise when we can trust someone and will investigate what they would do in different situations by exploring real-life case studies. All answers are included. The lesson is entirely editable. It covers the DfE and PSHE Association guidance for 2020-24 and will last you one hour. Lesson plan included.
Activities are scaffolded, there is a detailed and colourful PowerPoint, clip tasks, partnered tasks, active tasks, worksheets, literacy tasks, information pack, signposting to further help agencies and charities, clear outcomes and also progress measurers. Includes optional assessment sheet.
