People who care for me KS1 PSHE lesson.
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for students in Year 2, and could easily be adapted for use with older students.
In this lesson, the children will learn about the different people in their lives who care for them. In addition to the care given by parents and guardians, we will also discuss the role of friends, teacher, siblings, extended family, and healthcare workers.
The students will reflect on Love Grows Everywhere by Barry Timms, before completing a set of discussion-based activities. The lesson includes a case study starter, a ‘guided reading’ challenge linked to the text, a set of ‘find someone who’ case studies, and a VIP-themed plenary task.
Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.

**Safety and risk KS1 PSHE lesson. **
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 2, however, the activities may also be suitable for younger KS2 children (Year 3).
In this lesson, the students will learn about the concept of risk. We will discuss big risks and small risks, including what we should do in a variety of situations. We will discuss a range of environments including the beach, roads, lakes and rivers, railway tracks and playgrounds.

Students will investigate the link with wider gang violence and influence, and the pressure put on gang members to commit illegal activities. They will also examine the consequences of such illega, on victims and perpetrators as well as the lasting effect on families and communities. They will explore personal stories from those who turned their lives around, but still live with many regrets of ever getting involved in the first place.
