Stop stressing yourself over assigning behavior grades for your students and transfer that autonomy onto the student! Each student will receive one tracker form for each month and at the end of class, students are to self assess and assign a grade to themselves for their behavior that day. For differentiation purposes, students can also elaborate and justify on why they assigned that grade. Students can use this reflective process to take ownership over the behavior and adjust it accordingly. Additionally, teachers have a simple and cohesive documentation of behavior throughout the year which is useful for parent notification, student led conferences and simple tracking! Check out this awesome method to increase comprehension, close reading and critical thinking of students. The intention of the ABC brainstorm template is to be used with a broad topic to activate prior knowledge, to be used as a supplement to a reading as key words are pulled out, or to be used as a tracker with learning. Students will write a word or phrase starting with each letter of the alphabet and then complete a summary sentence after all (or most) letters are filled in. The activity is meant to start with the specific topic that is applicable to the student which gets filled in at the top. Three different variations are included that provide a variety of spacing options for easy differentiation

This awesome project allows students to collaborate as a business team and identify a need in their community. Students will write a business plan that forces the students to think about profits, supply, demand, consumers, markets, advertising and more! Facilitate your conversation roundtables discussions with this simple and self-explanatory template. Students will record their notes for each of the three other students at their roundtable and then reflect on their conversations by creating one coherent summary statement at the bottom. There are four differentiated versions with different sized spacing, bullets, and blank space for you to meet the needs of your specific students but still maintain uniformity in expectations. This backwards life planning research is great for students of all ages. I have found it most useful as an end of the year project for students to apply what they have learned. Students will have to begin with the end goal in mind and think about their goals and what they will have to do to get there. Students will research the job they want, the college they want to go to and the costs associated with them. Students will research costs such as utilities, automobile prices, college tuition, and then will figure out how much money they will make from their dream job. Students will apply math concepts such as finding an average, estimating, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This fun research project allows students to think through their career goals and identify the steps they will have to take to be successful. Please know that this 3-day activity will require technology in the classroom since it is very research-based. There are ample websites that provide salary estimates, price quotes, etc. which are embedded in the guided worksheets. With so much of our days being go, go, go, and content focused, it is often difficult to celebrate birthdays which is such a joyous occasion for our students. I know it's also often hard to plan, implement, and carry out this parties so I often would have monthly parties that celebrated everyone in the class who had a birthday that fell within that month. In order to make these parties a success, I would ask all the parents to pitch in with donations and time. At first, I would end up with 10 bags of chips and 10 bottles of soda which got old pretty quickly. I started to use this template which allowed me to differentiate the treats that we received which often made the parties last much longer and kids much happier :) The template has two notices per pages and will require you to assign the donations to ensure your party has a good mix. Feel free to cross our and change any of the treats that you feel will better fit your class! Students will return their slip with the parents notifying if they can donate their treat and you can plan for expected numbers. Best wishes and happy birthday!

This worksheet allows students to cut out the bottom portion with the four images of Delaware, Unites States, North America, and the Western Hemisphere and see the relationship between them. Students will then glue each image in the spaces provided on top. This easy and fun worksheet allows students to connect difficult concepts in a visual hands-on way. It can be easily adapted as independent work, a hook, group work or homework. Students will enjoy engage with this interactive project and will build conceptual understanding of geography while doing so!
