This Growth Mindset activity: Building Bridges or simply Bridges is a Japanese logic game originally called “Hashiwokakero” These puzzles will hook both you and your students in and wanting to do more. On each visually stunning puzzle you are given a number of islands where you need to join these islands with bridges. These puzzles are designed to improve your students spatial awareness. This version is slightly easier than my other version and is a great option of your students have never played these types of puzzles. Reasons why solving Building Bridges Puzzles are good for your students It sharpens your critical thinking skills It improves our problem solving skills It helps us in multi-tasking thinking skills It helps stay mentally fit All you need to do is decide if you want color or black and white as both are included. Personally I use color. Print them off and laminate the sheets and you are good to go. Included is also a PowerPoint show to teach you and you students how to play.
Animal Jeopardy

Animal Jeopardy

Animal Jeopardy is a great way for your class to review your concepts and ideas about animals. The categories covered in this game are mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, adaptations, food chains, and animal vocabulary. I typically put the class into small groups or individuals and ask a member of the group to choose a color and dollar amount. That is the question that they have to answer. When I get the class to do it individually I get them to put the answers down on a piece of paper and mark them at the end of the game. NEW! I have now introduced a visual point scoring system to keep track of how much money the teams have earned. Simply click on the allocated game board and with each click the amount increases by $100 I run it on an interactive whiteboard but would be equally successful on a projector, computer or TV screen. Alternatively it could be run for an individual student on their own device.

The Australian Money Loop game includes images of Australian currency for students to learn to sight the notes and coins quickly and easily. Simply print, laminate, cut and reuse.

Wonders Word Wall Road to Reading Kindergarten Units 1-10

(0)
This set of words aligns with the Kindergarten Wonders Reading Program from unit 1 all the way through to unit 10. This makes the perfect wall display for your students, parents and substitute teachers see what they have learnt and their next steps in their journey. I have used the road to reading wall display in my classroom for years and am always amazed at the positive comments from jealous teachers from other rooms. I have included in this pack everything you need to get started including A4 and A3 roads, vehicles, trees and of course the houses. The houses come in 4 colors, personally I match each unit to a different color to differentiate them. But you could choose which ever color suits your room. Simply print the road types that you need for an unlimited design to fit any space and suit any room. Personally I laminate the houses and cars so that they last the year out or longer. I also attach double sided tape to the back of the cars so that the students can move the cars as they progress. They get such a sense of achievement when they do this. The rest I staple gun into the wall. Enjoy
