Technical Elements within Drama Looking at the emotions behind the different colours used in lighting and the different ways sound can impact a performance. I usually then give a live demonstration using lighting and sound effects and ask students to write down how each scene makes them feel.

An introduction into Live Sound. Take a look at the role of a sound designer and what skills they may need. We then look at the types of equipment they will work with and how that all connects together to create a PA System. I usually pair this up with the Health and Safety lesson and then get them to do a live set up where they will be assessed on what they have learnt.

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations and health and safety aspects of Live Sound within Live events and theatre. Teach students about the regulations in place and how control measures can help to prevent injury.
