This is a resource I use with my SEN students who are completing IT courses. Students are tasked with creating and conducting a survey (to work on their communication skills and confidence). Students have to find out what types of computer products people prefer (Laptop, Mobile, Smart Watch etc.) It can also be used to develop students’ Excel document skills by collating the results into a bar chart or graph. Perfect for Entry Level 3 and above.

This resource can be used for students studying English Literature. It is a 2 page worksheet, where students read the information provided about the War of the Worlds radio show and the alleged hysteria that followed. Students are required to answer 3 questions about the radio show, including: Why did people allegedly react so strongly to the radio show? Students are required to design a new video game character for Nintendo’s Mario Kart by creating a mood board for the character and an accompanying Word document describing the character and their personality. They also have to think of the benefits to using public transport (independence etc.) and what travel strategies they can use to help them (fidget toys, music on headphones etc.)
