TIMES TABLES PRACTICE RANDOMLY NUMBERED
Intended for use when practising the times tables, this resource comes in two versions. The first is an Excel spreadsheet which generates a printable randomly numbered grid together with a solution sheet each time the F9 function key is pressed. I have also included this is PDF format containing 12 randomly numbered grids, again with a solution sheet.
CHRISTMAS CROSSWORD
All the words and names in this Crossword have a connection with Christmas, simply solve the clues and then enter the answers into the matching numbered squares in the grid. There is a printable sheet, together with a solution page. I have included two versions, one in PDF and the second an Excel file, whichever is your preference.
CHEMICAL ELEMENTS CRISS-CROSS PUZZLES
These files contains six criss-cross puzzles, all made up using names of Chemical elements. In each puzzle the student will be asked to name the chemical elements to match the symbols listed, and then enter these into the matching numbered squares in the grid. Each puzzle contains a printable sheet for the student and a solution sheet for the teacher. I have included two versions, one in PDF and the second an Excel file, whichever is your preference.
CROSS MULTIPLICATIONS PUZZLES
Like the earlier Cross Numbers, these puzzles are designed in the same way as a traditional crossword but using numbers instead of words. This time I have used multiplications only, and the answer to each clue should be entered into the matching squares on the numbered grid. The file contains ten Cross Multiplication puzzles together with a solution sheet. I have included two versions, one in PDF and the second an Excel file, whichever is your preference.
EASTER PUZZLES
This file contains one criss-cross puzzle and one wordsearch, both using words or names associated with the Christian Festival of Easter. In the criss-cross puzzle the student will be asked to name the words, terms or Biblical figures from the clues provided, and then enter these into the matching squares in the numbered grid. In the wordsearch puzzle the student has to find in the grid all the words or names listed. For both puzzles, there is a printable sheet for the student and a solution sheet for the teacher. As usual, to make the answers easier to locate in the wordsearch solution, I have highlighted the first letter of each word in yellow, or orange when the letter begins two words or terms running in different directions. ADJECTIVES PUZZLES 3-4 LETTERS
This file contains three crossword puzzles and three wordsearches, this time using only adjectives containing 3 or 4 letters, which I am hoping might be useful for younger pupils. In the crossword the student will be asked to name the adjectives from the clues provided, and then enter these into the matching squares in the numbered grid. USA PRESIDENTS PUZZLES
Each file contains three puzzles all related to American Presidents. In the Criss-Cross Puzzles the pupil will be asked to name the Presidents for the dates listed, and then enter these into the matching squares in the numbered grid. In the word-search puzzle the pupil has to find in the grid all the Presidents listed. For both puzzles, there is a printable sheet for the pupil and a solution sheet for the teacher. TIMES TABLES WORKSHEETS - TABLES 2-12
The file contains two templates intended to be printed out as activity sheets to test times tables. With 100 different number combinations available simply choose a list number and times table number to create a new activity sheet every time. RANDOM DIVISION SPEED TEST
This file works in the same way as the multiplication speed test, this one contains five worksheets of random divisions which can be done straight onto the computer. Each test begins with a blank sheet and after entering X into the blue square the first question will appear. Once all 30 questions have been answered the score will automatically appear, together with the time taken.

As mentioned in my earlier resource I am not a teacher but I use Excel to create activities to encourage number work. In this file there is a sheet for each table from 1-12 to use on the computer to test straight multiplication and also randomly.

CAPITAL CITIES WORD-SEARCH & SPIRALS
Each file contains five puzzles all related to capital cities of the world. In the word-search puzzle the pupil has to find in the grid all the capital cities listed. There is a printable sheet for the pupil and a solution sheet for the teacher - to make the answers easier to locate I have highlighted the first letter of each city in yellow, or orange when the letter begins two cities running in different directions. In the spiral puzzles the pupils will be asked to enter the capital city for each country listed, with the last letter of each answer forming the first letter of the next. USA - NAME THE AMERICAN STATE
This file contains three criss-cross puzzles, all made up using names of American States. In each puzzle the student will be asked to name the States to match the capital cities listed, and then enter these into the matching numbered squares in the grid. HOMOPHONES WORD SPIRALS
This file contains ten printable word spirals. All of the words used in these puzzles are commonly misspelt or confused with other similar-sounding words. The answers to the clues should be written in a clockwise direction around the numbered grid. The last letter of each word will become the first letter of the next. Once completed, the shaded squares reading from top to bottom will reveal another homophone. I have included two versions, one in PDF and the second an Excel file, whichever is your preference.
CHRISTMAS ALPHABET QUIZ
The Christmas Alphabet Quiz comes in two formats. When using the first sheet, the answers can be entered directly onto the computer. It begins with a blank sheet and after entering NOEL into the red square the first question will appear. There is one Christmas-themed question for each letter of the alphabet. The second sheet is a printable version of the same quiz for use as a seasonal class exercise. I have also included a separate PDF version of the printable sheet, and a PowerPoint presentation whichever is your preference.
CHEMICAL ELEMENTS
This file contains six worksheets and the aim of the exercise is to name the chemical elements represented by the chemical symbols shown. Each test begins with a blank sheet and after entering X into the blue square the first symbol will appear. The name of the chemical element should then be typed into the space alongside. Once all 20 symbols have been identified the score will come into view, together with the time taken.
