Results could then be converted into graphs etc. We have included two different sheets (with slightly different choices) to enable classes to compile slightly different results.

This real life activity contains a Theme Park menu and suggested maths questions using money. Can be used as a classroom activity or homework. Children could always come up with their own questions, or choose their own food and work out costs / change.

The Rollercoaster Riders thematic maths is based around data presented in a table. It links directly with rollercoasters in Paultons Park.
Calculate the moves of playing penguins hopping forwards and backwards and interpret negative numbers crossing over zero . Follow instructions to decide on the penguins final landing point. Extend the task to investigate different combinations of movement across zero .
Explore the park at Paultons by moving through positions up ,down,left ,right. Record co-ordinates of stop points. Write instructions for a route using coordinates and extend the task by creating a walking route without crossing or repeating pathways!
Paultons pirate ship finds treasures and the coordinates must be read and recorded. Specific points must be plotted on the quadrants (including negative number positions) and movements of the ship have to be followed. Batten down the hatches, Matey!
