Everything you need to deliver a whole unit of plants for Year 8. Easily adaptable and suitable for Year 7, 9 and for an online learning approach.
The topic is divided in 7 parts:
Photosynthesis: lesson + mini plenary based on an exit ticket.
Leaves: lesson + mini plenary based on an activity to boost the students’ memory with a label exercise.
Two investigations that can be followed without lab practical so that it can also be easily done in online learning.
Roots: lesson + 3 self-assessment questions
Transport of water and minerals: lesson

Revision: 20 minutes of revision activities + slides for students to check the right answers. It can be used as revision or assessment.

This power point contains the Biology questions for Biology GCSE 0654 Cambridge syllabus (summer 2016). It also has the answers and the marks awarded. It is a great revision tool for students in the classroon or as online learning activity.
These power points include the guidelines for a project about “Classification and Variation” following the Exploring Science Textbook for Year 7. Some of the terms covered for students to research are: classification, inherited variation, environmental variation, animal kingdom and plant kingdom.
It can be easily edited so that it forms a big project or it can be divided into smaller tasks depending on time availability. It can also be adapted to use in year 8/9.
