Yelling, telling or asking? A sentence type resource for year 2 and year 1 with 159 illustrated telling, asking or exclamatory sentences. Learners to add end punctuation. 3 similar sentences per A4 page - 1 of each sentence type (yelling, telling or asking) 1 version with 3 very similar sentences, but which on careful reading are each different (i.e. 1 is a simple telling, 1 is exclamatory, 1 is a question sentence) (51 sentences) 1 version with 3 obviously different sentences (36 sentences) but with a the same sentence topic. 1 version as above with easier to read/decodable sentences for LA learners (21 sentences) 1 version with 3 very similar sentences but which change dependent upon the end punctuation (51 sentences)

Subject Verb Agreement PowerPoint with 5 worksheets about the basic rules of subject-verb agreements. Subject Verb Agreement PowerPoint progression: 1)Starts by reviewing what the subject and verb of a sentence is. 2)Then an example slide of the grammar rule. 3)Main part of the PowerPoint provides example sentences with various different subjects and students choose the correct form of the verb, on a click the correct form of the verb floats into place. (rule is removed after a few slides, but then reappears so that you can reinforce [or correct] the rule). I use it with a ESL after-school class and mini-whiteboards for pairs of students to make it into a quiz game format. Three rimes table trick with arrays to help with the three times table multiplication strategy . This clear, step-by-step and helpful PowerPoint will help students learn that multiplication by 3 can be done by doubling and adding another set. e.g. to calculate 3 × 14: first double 14 getting 28, then add another 14, (to get 3 times 14) which is 42. 21 Examples are presented (from 3 x 2 up to 3 x 21) in order, or from a hyperlink menu. Each slide shows the sum and a confused face, Then two lines of the matching array (showing the doubling array) Then another set (another line of the array) is added Whilst the matching thought process is shown with clear sums. Finally everything apart from the x3 sum and array dissolve out, leaving just the sum, the answer and the x3 array.
