Designed to recap and revise the whole Gender module for AQA Psychology. It includes Sex, Gender, Androgyny, Explanations of Gender, Culture and Media Influences and Gender Identity Disorder. Most topics are condensed to one manageable slide that can be turned into revision cards. I give the students a copy of the student version (usually 2 slides to page) to complete and annotate while I go through the teacher version as a class. Sometimes asking them to complete it before I go through it. I have included a bonus key terms check. Full lesson (1 hour 30 mins) on hypotheses and aims for Year 1 AQA Research methods. It goes through what null and alternative hypotheses are. It also shows the differences in structure of experimental and correlational hypotheses. A homework sheet with sample exam questions on aims and hypotheses is included as well.

A full set of resources to teach Humanism for AQA Psychology New Spec. This took me two lessons of 90 mins each to complete this Approaches topic. I usually get the students to fill out the notes sheet as I go through the ppt - saves taking so many notes and includes activities in it. Full lesson including a powerpoint (with 4-5 video links) and 5 activities to complete on the endocrine system. Designed for the AQA Psychology biopsychology module. It outlines the endocrine system and then goes into the fight or fight response. There is a notes sheet included which the students take notes into from the powerpoint as the lesson progresses and it has imbedded activities in it for them to do too (e.g an independent task using Cat book). Activities include a card sort and a body picture to label for the endocrine system.

This includes a powerpoint of notes and activities. I get them to complete the note sheet while going through the ppt to save taking too many notes. There are then activities to complete once the definitions have been covered including a card sort, applied case study and an essay plan. There are sometimes answers or instructions on the notes part of the powerpoint. There are also video links on the powerpoint. This takes me two lessons (1 hr and 30 mins each) to complete the full set of activities.

Includes a couple of resources I use on open evenings for promoting Psychology. Serial Killer or Psychologist - I made these into cards with a photo on the front and descroption of who the person is on the back them laminated them. The idea is that the students have to sort the cards into two piles based on appearance alone. I then discuss things like lombroso theory, nature nuture of offending, biological causes (because if there are similarities in faces of criminals it could mean similarities in DNA etc), and offender profiling with them. True or false statements - I put these in a jar and they pull out one and we discuss it. A display poster of the topics we cover Interesting Conditions - just some more unusual conditions that can be discussed A mirror task shapes - if you buy a couple of small mirrors (the small mirror tiles work well from Ikea) then the students have to do the mirror task done by HM. Draw a line in the small 1cm gap between the lines of the shapes by only looking in the mirror. I do this by blocking their vision to their hand using another sheet of paper (or can use a card board box cut out.
