This is a full lesson and homework for the year 1 statistics part of the course. It has a ppt covering significance and the 5% level of probability as well as how to do a sign test. It includes 3 examples of sign test studies to practise on including one where the students carry out their own study and collate the data to show the whole process. Note: One is tricky so can be an extension for stretch and challenge. It also includes a homework sheet to practise sign tests, drawing conclusions and maths bits and another document of past sign test questions for more practise. Answers/teacher copies are provided for the examples and homework. A2 Stats lesson has also been uploaded and this can be bought as a bundle of all my first year lessons for RM.

This is a full lesson including powerpoint, booklet for note taking and worksheet activities for A2 Biological Rhythms in the Biopsychology part of the course. It includes Circadian, Infradian and Ultradian Rhythms as well as Endogenous Pacemakers and Exogenous Zeitgebers. The powerpoint is over 40 slides long and includes numerous links to video clips, a longer documentary. I give the students a copy of the notes booklet and they complete this as we go through the ppt - saves time on too much note taking. To finish off there are some summary tasks: A crossword and a card sort summary task on biological rhythms. It will last approximately 3-4 hours of teaching. This is a full lesson resource for case studies and content analysis for AQA Psychology. It covers the description and strengths and weaknesses. It has an activity to carry out a quantitative content analysis on some made up lonely hearts ads. They can do an inter-rater check as well to ensure consistency between two observers. It includes a ppt and a notes sheet with activities throughout to check learning. The students complete the notes sheet as we work through the ppt so they have some bits to fill in and activities to complete.

For AQA Psychology. Full lesson and homework exam questions for the working model of memory, which takes me 1 hour 30 mins - 2 hours to complete. It covers all the key elements on the ppt and included is a notes sheet which the students complete as we work through the lesson to save on note taking. Designed to recap the whole Forensic module for AQA Psychology. It includes measuring crime, explaining crime, offender profiling and dealing with offending behaviour. Most topics are condensed to one manageable slide that can be turned into revision cards. I give the students a copy of the student version (usually 2 slides to page) to complete and annotate while I go through the teacher version as a class. This is a very detailled presentation (47 slides) about approaching AQA exam questions. It covers: Evaluation Comparison Application Terminology (e.g use of the words reliability and validity) It gives advice and examples to demonstrate how to succeed in AQA exams. Great for a revision lesson with students.

A couple revision lessons on the approaches - would take me at least 2-3 hours probably to cover this as its a 66 slide ppt with 10 documents in total. Couldlast even more if you get them to try out some of the exam questions and do all the worksheets. PPT: Has short summaries of each of the approaches and then a series of exam questions, on each approach, to show key exam technique, advice for answering and sometimes sample answers. Included is a student version with blanks to fill in, or to use to test their knowledge before going over each topic. For AQA Psychology Forensic Topic. This is a full lesson on Atavistic form (Lombroso’s explanation). It includes a fun activity which can be done for open evening- serial killer or psychologist (the descriptions should be stuck on the back of the photos for each card). After covering the features of Lombroso’s theory they examine their picture to see if their criminal has any of those features.

Full Lesson resources for Zimbardo lesson. This could cover 1.5-2 hours of time. I usually go over social roles, before getting them to watch the 30 min video and complete their notes sheet. Then I go over the study so they can add in any details they missed into their sheet. Then the students complete the evaluation tasks. Before ending the lesson with a true or false. It includes a detailed powerpoint and a few activities. A taster session designed to give to year 10/year 11 students thinking of A-level Psychology. Covers Lombroso and biological causes of murder so not really suitable for young children. Included is the popular resource - serial killer or Psychologist card sort to see whether there is anything in the faces of serial killers that gives them away. Lesson has video links and lots of discussion points and takes me around 45 mins.

A full lesson for Family Dysfunction and Cognitive Explanations of Schizophrenia. Includes a powerpoint, notes sheet. Also has an essay activity. If the students cut up the essay where there is a line break between sections then try and stick it back together as a complete essay. Answers are provided for this task on the 3rd page of the document.
