I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Fractions’ Summer Block 1 planning, including resources I’ve used from the White Rose (turned into an easily printable format) and any additional ones I’ve made to myself to supplement. This is week 3 of 5.

Week 5 (Summer block 1) - to be made
The starter activities referred to I’ve uploaded separately (they’re on a power point). - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/mental-starters-11805783
This is my own personal planning which I’ll be using in my class in a couple of weeks. Hope you find it useful, it’s not made specifically for TES so there will most likely we some spelling errors etc
I use this as warm ups or when I have a free 5 minutes. I get the children to self-mark, create their own and then set their friends challenges.
Great for recapping key skills regularly without additional work load.
This is my personal Science + Learning Challenge planning for this term. I’ve included x6 lessons for each + WALTs ready to print. Great starting point for the year.
I’ve also included my rough overview of how I’ve decided up the curriculum objectives.
This planning has been produced primarily for my own personal use (so there will be mistakes) and I’ll be using it in the classroom myself in future.
Each week of Shared Reading planning includes:
planning document
PPT with the shared reading text/to share whole class
shared reading questions ready to print
shared reading text ready to print.
The way we do shared reading is through one text which ALL children share and engage with. It’s the same text throughout the week. Sometimes the same story follows on for a few weeks/half term but over the year there is a variety of texts.
We spend the first 15 minutes on the No Nonsense spelling scheme which is separate to this plan but your school might be interested in using.
Skill focuses over the week
Monday - vocabulary, word building, retrieval and recording
Tuesday - inference
Wednesday - Summarising
Thursday - Explain & justify / or author’s choices
Hope you find it useful!
I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Fractions’ Spring Block 3 planning. Including resources I’ve used from the White Rose (turned into an easily printable format and visual PPT to share). This is week 3 of 4.

If you’ve used my planning previously please note the following:
This is the second time using an evolved format. As a school we are continuing to deepen our understanding of mastery for all and all children working within the same tasks each lesson. This allows the class to move forward as a whole. Differentiation comes from support, visuals and deepening with the same task rather than moving on.
We have moved to a ‘weekly’ success criteria (WALT/WILFs) and each day working on a different WILF within that. Our WALT and WILFs for the weekly snapshot are moving towards more formality in terms of technical language and directly mapping onto the learning and the curriculum so the children are really clear about exactly what they are learning.
I’ve then introduced ‘learning chunks’ with 4-5 chunks per lesson introducing new concepts, consolidating, recapping, mini tasks or problem solving activities. I plan in exactly the same way as before but have made it clearer through these chunks where we are moving on or linking to new ideas. I think this makes it clearer when to bring the whole class together to self-assess or work through answers at the end of each chunk.
This then makes it easier to know where the gaps of the class as a whole are, where intervention is needed or if a lesson needs to be split over two lessons where would be a good time to stop. It will also make it clearer what ideas need to be recapped at a glance.
As a school we’re also still using White Rose and following it, however we’re only using the resources as an when they’re applicable to the needs of the class. I’ve included all the resources from the White Rose on a PPT and in a printable format and will supplement them in as and when.
I love planning using it and it makes it much clearer for me to use and follow. Maths is my absolute favourite thing so I hope it’s still just as useful for you – I plan for myself and then upload to help others, but remember my resources and planning aren’t make specifically just for TES.
I’ve uploaded my White Rose ‘Statistics’ Summer Block 4 planning. Including resources I’ve used from the White Rose (turned into an easily printable format and visual PPT to share). This is week 1 of 2.

I’ve not made the summer warm up PPTs yet as I’ve planned far in advance. They’re not linked to the topic, just something additional I do at the beginning of each lesson. If you’ve been using them as well, I will reupload when they have been created - closer to when I actually teach this myself in class
Hi all,
I've uploaded my: Literacy + Numeracy planning, weekly timetables and also learning challenge planning (Science, history, geography, art, dt etc) medium term plans for Autumn 1.
You'll also find 'overall coverage' which is how I divided up the new curriculum as a snap shot over all the half terms of the year and the running themes.
I've uploaded as is for you to tweak or use as you need to. Many many hours of work here so thought I'd share the love and save you some time.
I'm also uploading my planning for the other half terms as well, so if these were of use for you then check those out too.
I use two sound strips to support my Year 1 class in their writing at their tables - I borrowed these from the school I did my training placement at, so I cannot take credit for them! The first contains all the sounds your class need to phonetically attempt any word. The second sound strip colour groups different ways to make the same sound. I have also included the word doc I use to assess which sounds the children can read and write. These assessments help inform my teaching in the lead up to the phonics screening test.
Each addition or subtraction fact will match one of 3 options. Can you use your fingers, a number-line or a 100 square to work out the answer, then match a peg to the correct answer?\n\ngreen - to 10 (fingers)\nblue - to 20 (number line)\nred - to 100 ((100 square) - adding/subtracting 1 digit numbers\nyellow - to 100 (100 square) - adding subtracting 2 digit numbers
Hi all,
I'm RE coordinator (amongst other things) at my school and thought I'd share the the whole school planning I've put in place. We have a termly RE week so it's divided up in that way. I've also added in trips and visitors etc to cover all bases and so that we aren't duplicating across school. It has objectives for each year group broken down for each term. I've also then added planning ideas and activities for each.
I've added our policy and also the Nottinghamshire Agreed Syllabus for RE where the objectives have been taken from.
Hopefully I've saved you some work! :)
