Medieval Animals Art KS3 Scheme of Work - Art History, Ceramics and Observational Drawing

(0)
KS3 Medieval Animals A comprehensive Scheme of Work that incorporates Art History, observational drawing and ceramics, suitable for Years 7-8. It is suitable for a range of abilities. The project will last 3-4 months based on one hour teaching per week. Teacher resources and homeworks tasks are embedded in the Powerpoint, with graded examples and step-by-step instructions for pupils and teachers. The project is perfect as an introduction to ceramics as pupils are guided through the process of making a relief tile, the stages of clay and firing processes and also oxiding and surfacing their bisque fired pieces. This would also work with air dry clay and an ink wash. This project has been run successfully for several years and has been tried and tested. It is a very engaging project that secures exellent pupil outcomes and allows for flexible teaching and adaptation.
