This booklet HAS NOT yet been updated to feature the content of the new AQA specification and therefore SHOULD NOT be confused with the new Theme 3 content. Updated booklets with the new topics for the 2026 specification are in the works and will be available soon. You have a breakdown below of what topics this booklet covers.
This is a comprehensive exam practice booklet that covers Theme 3 of the AQA GCSE Spanish exam to prepare Foundation students for their READING component. Theme 1 and 2 bookleta are already available in the shop!
This booklet contains 30 in-depth questions like multiple choice, answer in English, T/F/NM, Translations, V/F/NM, P/N/P+N and many others in order to get students used to to the format of the exam without the pressure of a mock or a real paper in front of them.
I designed this booklet as close to the real thing as possible because we all have students that panic just at the sight of a paper that looks like an exam and this is a great way to help them through their fears and allow them to get accustomed to the format of the exam without any marks or target grades.
The booklet covers the following subtopics of Theme 3:
School subjects (4x tasks) Teachers (3x) School facilities (2x) School rules (4x) Primary vs Secondary (2x) Life at school (2x) Daily Routine (3x) Work experience (3x) Post 16 (1x) Gap year experience (1x) University life (1x), Jobs / Careers (4x)
This workbook can be used for cover lessons, homework, summer project for Y10s or as exam revision material to prepare for the GCSEs.
Additionally, the workbook comes with an extra booklet that has all the answers provided for each task so you can help students check their work or simply use them in your PPTs to discuss the answers.
***Both booklets come as separate PDFs.
**Please note this is the 3rd booklet of a series of 6 for this component of the GCSE. Each theme will have a booklet and each tier will have their set of booklets suitable to their level.
The next booklet you can expect is Theme 1 (Higher) Reading Practice that should be in the shop soon, however if you’re interested I also have a Theme 1 and Theme 2 one for foundation available already in the same format.

This easy to use worksheet is the perfect start to a lesson to celebrate European Day of Languages. It can be used in any subject as a starter or plenary to open a discussion about the event, but also as a tutor activity that can be done with students during registration.
Students must place the countries given in the list on the map, but you can also add cities or extra countries, if you’d like to extend the activity. You could also get students to colour in the countries with the corresponding flags they have. The worksheet can be used in different ways according to your needs and your learning objectives.
It shouldn’t take students more than 10-15 minutes to complete and if you’d like to expand the activity further you could always show them how some of these amazing places look through a Google search.
You will receive a PDF copy of the worksheet with ANSWERS included. I’ve made sure there is a black and white version as well as coloured one depending on your printer.
You can also find a European Day of Languages Quiz in my shop if you’d like to dedicate an entire lesson to exploring Europe. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/european-day-of-languages-quiz-12723633
This is a 70-page document that will help your students master verb conjugations in the present, preterite, imperfect, future, and conditional tenses.
Each tense is explained and has the corresponding endings present before students begin practicing the conjugations in that particular time tense. As you know, there are exceptions to every rule so there are many irregular verbs present but the majority of the verbs in this booklet are of high-frequency and recommeded to be studied by the AQA guidance.
In each tense students have over 50 verbs to conjugate. These verbs are the same for each tense.
There are also empty pages where you can give students the verbs you would like them to practice or use those pages as a grammar check when you want to test knowledge.
The verb conjugation booklet is FULLY EDITABLE and comes with an ANSWER booklet attached which contains all the conjugations you will be asking of your students for an easy process of checking their answers.
This workbook can be used for cover lessons, homework, summer project for Y10s or as exam revision material to prepare for the GCSEs.
This is a vocabulary practice worksheet on Free Time with 5 activities and an answer key at the end. For the writing task I have provided a model answer as the task is subjective to the student.
This is aimed at KS3 but could easily be used for lower sets at GCSE and as a revision task for those on the Foundation tier who need to revise the present tense and this key vocabulary.
I had a lot of fun creating these actvities and am curious of how people have found it. Please let me know!
This is a bundle of the famous trapdoor activity that I’ve created for Y8 Spanish. The bundle contains 6 trapdoor activities for the following topics:
La rutina diaria
Donde vivo
Mi pueblo
Las vacaciones (present tense)
Las vacaciones (past tense)
La comida y la bebida
It’s a fun and easy activity that can be done with or without a teacher that is excellent for practicing speaking skills. The kids will absolutely love it!
Enjoy!
This resource is a revision lesson for year 8s using the Viva 2 module 2 structure that can be used as an hour-long game with your class. Divide you class in teams (I had 4 or 5 children in each) and get them to work independently as well as together to find the answers for each activity. The lesson encompasses all the four skills and was used to prepare children before their assessments. Children will have the spirit of competition during the entire hour and will actually be revising at the same time! Hope you enjoy it.
This bundle incorporates all the resources I’ve created this year for European Day of Languages.
WHAT YOU GET:
1x European Day of Languages Quiz (in English) - which can be used across all subjects or during tutor time to ensure the school has a cross-curricular approach to supporting languages. The quiz has 38 questions and covers topics such as landmarks, European food and famous faces that are linked to languages one way or another.
1x European Day of Languages Spanish Activity Booklet - which can be used by Spanish teachers during lesson time. It includes a sentence builder and numerous activities based off the information in the SB. The tasks are about vocabulary building, listening, reading, and writing. There are NO AUDIO FILES INCLUDED as in the answers section you will find a script (answer) for each task that you can read to students yourself.
2x European Day of Languages Worksheets (in English) - which can be used as starters for other subjects in school or again as a short tutor activity. One of them is a word search the other one is comprised of a map where students must place different European countries on the map.
All files come in a PDF format and can be purchased separately in my shop if you only want one or two!
This easy to use worksheet is the perfect start to a lesson to discuss La Pascua. It can be used as a starter or plenary to open a discussion about Spain´s traditions for Semana Santa.
Students must fill the crossword out with the help of the words provided for each number. The answers are the translations of the words in English and you will be provided with an answer sheet.
It shouldn’t take students more than 10 minutes to complete and if you’d like to expand the activity you could always explain why these words are specific to La Pascua. For example the meaning of los huevos pintados or an explanation of the religious side of things that Spanish people consider important regarding this holiday.
Students can use dictionaries to help them out or you could even give them letters along the way if they still struggle with finding a specific word.
You will get a PDF copy of the crossword with ANSWERS included. I’ve made sure there is a black and white version as well as a coloured one depending on your printer.

This is an exciting revision board game designed to help students practice vocabulary from Theme 2 of the AQA GCSE spec.
I’ve used this type of game successfully and students loved a bit of healthy competition amongst their classmates.
The topics included in the game are: home, healthy living, social issues, global issues, travel and tourism.
This is an amazing activity to practice vocab as well as get students working with others and be independent. Since the referee holds all the answers you can walk around the room and listen to the students using the TL as well as take a break if you need to!
I’m a fan of anything that gets the kids working on their own whilst having some fun too. So, please enjoy and any feedback would be appreciated!
Instructions:
The game should be played in groups of 4-5 with one person being the referee.
Each group gets a copy of the game and the referee gets a copy of the answers, which nobody else should see!
You will need a dice so players can move through the game. One dice per group should be enough.
The younger player goes first and starts the game .
The first player to pass the finish line wins.
Players cannot advance if they cannot translate the sentences they have fallen onto in the opposite language. They will have to stay in the same place if their answer doesn´t match the referees answer sheet and wait for another turn until they roll the dice again and hopefully get a different number.
The referee is allowed to give small hints if the person is struggling (e.g. It starts with the letter T…).
The game can last up to 30 minutes and is a great way for students to practice the vocabulary learnt.
*** I usually give my students a small piece of paper in the shape of a square to use as a token and move along in the game. I make them write their initials on the square so if they are the same colour they don’t get mixed up with the others.
This easy to use worksheet is the perfect start to a lesson to celebrate Day of the Dead. It can be used as a starter or plenary to open a discussion about Día de Los Muertos.
Students must match the words provided in Spanish with the body parts they represent, filling in the boxes. If you’d like to extend the activity you could allow students to colour in the skeletons whilst talking to them about Day of the Dead traditions and customs.
This is a fun retrieval activity for the human body parts that comes with a hint of culture and it shouldn’t take students more than 10 minutes to complete.
You will receive a PDF copy of the worksheet with ANSWERS included.
You can also find a Day of Dead Quiz in my shop if you’d like to dedicate an entire lesson to exploring the customs of this holiday. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/day-of-the-dead-quiz-12747942
This is a bundle of the famous trapdoor activity that I’ve created for Y9 Spanish. The bundle contains 5 trapdoor activities for the following topics:
Family and relationships
Technology and social media
Films and TV programmes
Healthy living
School facilities, rules and future plans
It’s a fun and easy activity that can be done with or without a teacher that is excellent for practicing speaking skills. The kids will absolutely love it!
Enjoy!
This is an excellent resource to use for revision of the three themes at GCSE level without planning. I use these exit tickets at the end of the lesson and give each student a different one every time. They must do what the card asks them to do whether it be answering a question, posing a question or simply talking about a given topic freely.
There are 60 exit tickets covering all three themes available!
These exit tickets are super quick and since they cover a variety of topics they can be used in numerous lessons especially to freshen up the students’ minds. The students must think of an answer and verbalize it thus practicing their pronunciation but also their spontaneity to answering such questions.
We all know their speaking exams want natural conversations and through these they can practice and work on those skills. PLUS they can also use their answers for their WRITING PAPER. It’s a win win!
Any feedback would be appreciated!
This is an EDITABLE End of Term Spanish Christmas Quiz with 41 QUESTIONS that will take your students through different Spanish traditions, giving them an understanding of food, different expressions and customs around the Holiday.
The quiz has 6 rounds (multiple choice, verdadero/falso, guess the word, anagrams, ¿Qué hay en la foto?, fill in the blank) and its main purpose is to develop a wider understanding of Spanish traditions at Christmas as well as develop every student´s cultural awareness and critical thinking through different tasks.
Each question has an automatic 45s timer and students get an answer sheet to write down their answers. The quiz can be done individually but also in teams to encourage some healthy competition!
A vocab sheet also comes with the resource with all the words that they need throughout the quiz if you believe your students could use the extra support. I don’t recommend using it for the first two rounds as that would be too easy but it is up to you how you make use of the vocab sheet. It is also editable so you can add/delete any words you like.
WHAT YOU GET:
PowerPoint with the quiz and ANSWERS included which you can edit however you like. If you want to add questions or change the text size you can! Make sure to press enable editing and you can make whatever changes you like.
Answer sheet to print for each student or team.
Vocabulary sheet that students can use through the quiz
Certificate template for the winners

This pack can be used for any subject and creates a calm environment in the classroom as well as an amazing aesthetic to your display area!
WHAT YOU GET:
1 PDF file that is ready to print with the font seen in the pictures.
1 PPT file that can be used to edit the bunting (change colours, font etc)
***Please note that the images on the side do exceed the margins of an A4 sheet in the PPT but this does NOT affect at all the printing process. All the pages print perfectly and look amazing on card paper and laminated.
Christmas End of Term Escape Room - If you’re looking for a fun way to end the term, look no further! This Escape Room is designed to give your students 40+ minutes of engaging and competitive time with their peers as they solve each puzzle in order to find the missing Christmas presents.
The Christmas Escape Room includes 7 TASKS that students must go through in order to find the presents. By working in teams of 3-5, your pupils will be using a variety of skills throughout the lesson, such as: problem-solving skills, critical thinking, teamwork, communication and even some maths skills!
Students will start by reading out a message left by an elf who is requesting their help in finding the missing Christmas presents. From then on, you will give each team the first task and when you receive a correct answer the second task can be given and so on, until they figure out where the presents are hidden.
WHAT YOU GET:
☞ Escape Room Slides (PDF) -You can keep tasks on the board for students to better see them. Once everyone has done a task you can change the slide to the next one - so there are no spoilers for those that haven’t finished.
☞ Escape Room Answers (PDF) - You have the answers to all the 7 tasks and thus can offer students clues to help them out in case they get stuck.
☞ Escape Room Instructions (PDF)- You have at your disposal instructions for each task and prompts on how to help students but also challenge them.
☞ Escape Room Printables file (PDF)- If you prefer to print the tasks larger than they are on the original slides I have compiled a file with all the puzzles that you can print separately for your students.
☞ Escape Room Certificate (PDF)- a certificate can be given to each team member that managed to find the presents (see image for design).
***Escape Room Puzzles - The Maze/The Puzzle/The Decoder/The Right Path/The Crossword/The Problem Solver/The Riddle - see images for puzzle designs and layout.
The Escape Room is extremely easy to use and instructions are provided for both students and teachers to make the transition between tasks a lot smoother. All you need to do is print the resources and create the teams!
I recommed having scissors available for each team if you plan to run Task 2 as it was originally intended. If not, students only need the printed tasks and perhaps some hints along the way!*
If you decide to purchase this Christmas Escape Room, I would love to hear any feedback you have, so please leave a review if you can! Also, please note that this is a resource in English not Spanish like my usual products.
