Level 1/2 Technical Award in Child Development and Care in the Early Years New for teaching in September 2022 (NCFE/CACHE Childcare) Content Area 9 only required one lesson on the planning cycle. If you download PLEASE review. There are 10 lessons here, if you deliver it as planned. Legislation lesson takes 3 lessons as one is input, followed by 1 lesson of researching in groups and creating a presentation, with the third lesson ebing their presentations. Equality and Inclusion uses 2 long clips. 1 is 20 minutes long, the other is 60 minutes. These can be taken out if you need to save time. Unit 7: Principles of Safe Practice. BOOKLET UPDATED AUG 2022 Included is a SOW with overview and intent. I have included the case studies, typed into a useable student booklet that they can annotate. I have also included a complete assignment break down for the whole unit. Students use this to highlight as they go, and enter the date when they submit is, and when they have passed this element. Good for students to keep a track of their work.

This is a mini research unit that will be taught ahead of the units (after the introduction unit). It should take approximately 11 lessons to go through the basic research methods. I am aware this is no longer necessary to be taught as an explicit unit, however we feel they need the basic knowledge to be able to answer the questions in the different units. Planned to be delivered to students studying the AQA Specification A, but easily adapted for other exam boards. I have planned all content to be delivered during an intensive Easter School session, in which the aim is for students to understand the main content of the exam. There is a revision checklist, and some exam answer structure support included at the end of the powerpoint. Also suitable for a school VLE.
