Give some examples of onomatopoeia words you might hear in certain jobs - there are a number of jobs listed in the booklet (with examples and pictures). Ask the children to have a go at drawing the sound words listed in the activity booklet then ask them to add one more word (and drawing) of their own. Challenge Activity: You might want the class (or a group of children) to perform their own onomatopoeia poem/song in the style of the video. The idea of Target Boards has been around for a long time and they are an effective way of working with numbers. How it works: Your student’s are presented with a grid of numbers and you say something like: Which numbers add up to make 20? How many multiples of 4 can you find? Give me two numbers that have a sum of 18. How many odd numbers are there? There are lots of variations you can do with this activity … split the class into two groups and get them to compete, individual time trials etc.

Activity: Complete the number sequences using whole numbers and decimals. Extension activity: Students to create their own number sequences.
