The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come Activities:
This exciting lesson culminates the events presented by The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come through a carousel activity where groups of students will move around and rotate to stations around the classroom in order to complete their worksheet. Students will be introduced to The Grim Reaper from the 14th century to contextualize Dickens’ writing and allow them to draw comparisons with the Phantom.

The Businessmen Activities:
The conversation of the businessmen held great significance in Stave 4 as they highlighted Scrooge’s character through jest. After reading their conversation, students will highlight clues from the extract and answer questions independently. They will explore Scrooge’s thoughts and feelings by writing a diary entry. Sentence starters are provided for the independent piece of writing and students will challenge themselves by explaining Scrooge’s remorse for his actions.
