An activity mainly recapping 2D and looking more at 3D. It looks at the language involved in 2D and 3D shapes and the features. Please don't mind the voices of Chip the chipmunk - he is my Numeracy friend. :D Enjoy, Nick

I thought it would be a good idea to share a timetable that I use regularly that I got praised for by Moderators. It shows a brief outline of the learning objective (related, in my case, to EYFS early learning goals), any recap and any intro/recap. Hope it is useful.

I have made a few of these in the past but thought I'd post this one up to see if people could get it open and have a nosey at it. If you want more, shout. If not, please comment and rate as honestly as you can :-)

Certificate for Attendance

As we know, getting 100% attendance from our lovely darlings can be difficult. I made this certificate to give extra incentive for my learners to turn up. I also used it as a whole class certificate when we had 100% attendance for the whole week which was presented in assembly. Awesome. I put them into the printer with card at my school so it made it more authentic. Hope you enjoy! Nick

Garden centre display with key words. There is a seed packet template I've modelled and they've drawn a picture in the middle, tried to spell the flower name, and put a price in the star. Worked pretty well, but use and abuse if you want to! There&'s also some random odds/even numbers for a display. Again, ignore or use them if you want. Hope they help.

The Carpet Champion was awarded for children who tried (contributed) in class, did good activate, sat nicely and had had a good day. I did it daily, you may like to do it weekly. I did give a prize in a touchy feely box with cheap pencils, chalks, rubbers, spinning tops, etc. The other is a certificate for most improved on colour tables for the end of term. I laminated them and allowed them a prize from a different box, but again, up to you! First upload so be gentle :) Mr Buckley

Weather Chart Y1, Year 1, Foundation Stage, Reception

We've all seen weather charts with gorgeous velcro calendars. We also know they are quite expensive. This is my first upload of a Weather Chart suitable for the early years and Year 1 classes to aid spelling of days of the week, number and a good resource for establishing routine. This resource was blown up to A3 and cut and laminated. The seasons are grouped in 3 months according to colour and the Year is written on. I would recommend you getting a quality velcro board to stick this on. I find it was easy to slide in and out of behind a desk. I also purchased a second board that was red and have made Maths resources. Depending on how this one goes down with the community, I will upload more. They are more directed at Year 1. Please note: I don't have a PDF creator in order to allow you to edit the resource as you see fit. This includes a font that you may want to change. I suggest Comic Sans and, if your computer has the font, SassoonPrimaryInfant is usually a good one to use. I highly recommend you use a font that has the correct formation of the letter 'a' to aid the children. Thank you for looking at the resource and I hope you enjoy it should you decide to purchase it.

Domino and Dice Activities for EYFS or Y1 Aut/Lower Ab

Here is a small bundle of domino and dice activities which would work well for touch counting exercises, group work exercises (i.e. working together to work out dice number sentences) and for the child that enjoys being challenged to find different domino totals. I hope you enjoy using the resources. Please note: resource has been bordered to allow ease of cutting them out to stick into books for evidence.

Hello! I am at the peak of my resource making and thought I would share some of the resources I have made on supply. I hope you are able to enjoy over 100 pages of resources that helped me in the day-to-day running of my Foundation Stage class for 7 years. They can also be used for some Year 1 role-play areas, registers, pupils who need boosters in phase 2-4 and also contain some resources to boost children who have potential to enter Phase 5 before the Foundation Stage year is up! These resources are tailored to teachers within schools that endorse a mixture of both cursive and pre-cursive print/writing. I would recommend cutting them out first, before then laminating them in a pouch. Without a small seal, they do not last half as long and come out of their laminated pouch easily with busy hands! In order of appearance we have: P.1-3: A handwriting practise to be laminated and practised only when the children are comfortable with good pen grip. There are cursive scripts and print scripts of a common sentence that uses all letters of the alphabet. P.4-5: Outdoor Register. Write your name before you go out. Recommend they use name cards to aid reluctant writers. P.6: Simple cutting skills in the writing area. P. 7-9: Writing opportunities. P. 10: Phonic Board Template. My personal favourite. Used in my phonics group, you can combine this with a whiteboard (plain side) and two pegs. Simply cut out the parts where the child can write. Laminate. Now make a small cut and cut inside the ‘write areas’ so that you can poke your finger through the ‘write areas’. Now attach this to the whiteboard. The children will quickly learn to write their name using appropriate size, the phoneme of the day, the tricky word, to blend using a phoneme frame and to write a short sentence. Fantastic resource. Page 11-19: Ph2-4 Tricky words (in orange) P. 20-35: Ph2-5 decodable words (in green) P.36-44: All Ph2-4 phonemes. NB these are in cursive script. P.45-46: Bookmarks. Used for going-home schemed books. P.47-49: Phase 2-4 assessment sheets. P. 50-60: Classroom Phonic prompts. Aids pretend word sounding out. Ph3-5 P.61-74 (&75): Reading Area prompts for children/adults about relevant books. P.76: A guided reading proforma that helped me to do group reads and write basic notes on the children. That’s all it has to be. Don’t make too much work for yourselves! P.77: Which school doesn’t have scooters?! A resource for the outdoor area. P.79-88: Phoneme frame & graphemes (Ph2-4) Colour coded for recognition. Recommended for continuous provision. P.89-92: Reading Aid-help children identify their stage and appropriate books to fetch independently. P.93-96: Behaviour Management aids inc. whole-class marbles. P.97-104: Fruit Station Aids. P.105-107: LEGO ideas. P.108-117: Start the day morning with these handy resources. P.118-119: A Menu for roleplay.

A number of the day exercise for Year 2. If you want to omit the question at the end, you can pop a white piece of paper/card over it in the photocopier to change it to something else or get rid of it completely.
