This scheme of work has been written to support the delivery of Component 3 Section B in the new Edexcel GCSE Drama specification. The unit of work could be adapted for any Live Performance Review unit being delivered at GCSE level.

There are five one off or cover lessons included that have been written for KS3 Drama. Each lesson has tasks and learning objectives. Included in the resources are: A Day in The Life of a bully (Devising) MacBeth' s Witches Stereotypical Characters Haunted House Social Media (No.2)

This fairytale drama scheme of work was written for KS3 Drama. The unit of work includes lesson activities, learning objectives, outcomes, homework and suggested open and closed questions. The main focus of the unit of work is creating traditional fairytales using non-naturalistic techniques, as well as exploring modernising the plot.

The power point contains monologue workshop activities in order to support students through their choice of monologue as well as vocal and physical exploration. There are two resources attached to support the activities. Most of these activities can also be used when exploring duologues as well.

There are five KS3 drama cover lessons included, as well as a word search starter that can be used as a bell activity for any cover lesson. The soap characters and chat show lesson is a lesson plan containing learning objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities, suggested open and closed questions, homework and extended activities. The pantomime lesson is a lesson plan containing learning objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities, suggested open and closed questions as well as reference to personal, learning and thinking skills. The "How should a play end" and "Hamlet Cover" contains learning objectives and suggested activities. The Black History drama cover involves students researching influential figures, and then students becoming those characters in an original setting. You will need to provide the information about these figures from the internet. The lesson contains objectives and suggested activities.

This devising unit of work asks the question whether it is socially and morally right to discriminate, and it encourages students to explore this topic and create original pieces of drama to answer the question. There are two workshops where racial discrimination is explored through the Rosa Parks story, two workshops where age discrimination is explored through "The Old Man and His grandson" by the Brothers Grimm, and two workshops where gender discrimination is explored through the suffragette movement. There is a unit of work, and a power point that accompanies this. When purchased, you would need to source your own suffragette pictures, and Rosa Parks information due to uncertainty of including them in this for copyright reasons, but the Brothers Grimm story is included.

This unit of work contains six drama workshops based on Susan Hill's "The Woman in Black". Each workshop has a clear objective and suggested activities. There is an accompanying power point for this unit of work.

A scheme of work written for Unit 2 (Old Edexcel Syllabus) but can be adapted for Component 2 of the new syllabus. This scheme of work contains learning objectives, learning outcomes, suggested activities, open and closed question suggestions and homework. The accompanying power point supports the scheme of work. I have also included the challenge cards used for lesson 6. For copyright reasons, I have been unable to include the pictures.

This drama improvisation scheme of work was written for a KS3 Drama group. It contains suggested activities with extension tasks, homework, lesson objectives, learning objectives and suggested closed and open questions for each lesson. There are seven lessons included in the scheme of work.

This unit of work consists of six hour long workshops. Each workshop has an objective, and suggested activities. Some of the objectives include: To consider how different interpretations of role can alter the dramatic impact on audience To develop insight into the personal and moral dilemmas addressed within the play# There is an accompanying power point to support the unit of work.

There are five devising cover or one off drama lessons created for KS4 students. Some will require you to access and print the stimulus, but the lesson is already written. The lessons included are: Devising - Theatre in Education Devising - Challenging Stereotypes Devising - First they came for the Jews (Poem to be downloaded) Devising - The role of women in society from 1907 to 2017 Devising - From a Picture (Son of Man Picture will need to be downloaded)

This is a six week scheme of work where each week contains three one hour lessons. The structure of the scheme of work is: Week One - Plot Week Two - Character Week Three - Theme Week Four - Directing Scenes Week Five - Duologue and Monologue Week Six - Costume / Live Performance Review / Unseen Scene There is an accompanying power point for the scheme of work. There are some pictures you will need to source yourself as for copyright reasons I am unable to include. These are a picture of the play front cover, a picture of Malala Yousafzai and a picture of women’s dress in 1896. There are also resources included that are referenced in the scheme.

The concept of this devising assessment is that students analyse four pieces of art and create four pieces of original drama based on the art work. The final performance will be set in an art gallery where students bring the art to life and can stage the performance to include the audience. You can also add in an art gallery worker to escort the audience around the gallery. There are four lessons included in the power point to create the work, but students will then rehearse this towards an assessment. There is a work book to enable students to keep a log book of the decisions that they have made. There are also cards which have key vocal and physical terms on which can be used in any drama lesson to encourage students to include these words during evaluations. For copyright reasons, I am unable to include the four pictures, but the questions will fit any piece of art meaning you would be able to just insert the pictures into the power point and work book.

This power point was created when my P16 group were studying Metamorphosis by Steven Berkoff.

This student resource can be taken to a live performance in order for students to take notes. There are key words which will support performance and production roles, and there are examples from "The Woman in Black".

This unit of work looks at the genre of pantomime and enables students to look at pantomime conventions, characterisation, dialogue and production values. It can be used as a KS3 scheme of work, or for any devised unit at KS4. The unit of work contains lesson objectives, learning outcomes, suggested class and homework activities and suggested open and closed questions. There are also a selection of resources included.

A complete scheme of work with learning objectives, learning outcomes, closed and open question suggestions and stimuli included. The power point supports the scheme of work with all resources included in the power point. It was written for the old Edexcel Drama specification and can be easily adapted for Component One of the new specification. I am unable to include the pictures for copyright reasons.
