Here is a resource from my Learning Disabilities tool bag. I used it when I taught Resource class years ago and I still use it today in my elementary Media Center with all the kiddos! This is a self correcting puzzle template which is great for making your own MATCHING GAMES. For example, put a math problem on the left side of the puzzle and the answer on the right. Write up eight of these, cut them out, and you have a matching puzzle game. Good for things like geometry shapes/names, upper/lowercase letters, science definitions, word families. It makes a great Center addition. Make colorful copies available for your students in Center time and let them create their own games. 8 puzzle cards in 2 set sizes for you to choose from. *Set 1* 41/2 inches x 8 inches (2 to a page). *Set 2* 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 (8 cards to a page)

I Have...Who Has..Genre Game

This is the classic I Have...Who Has Game. Great for reviewing genres with the whole class. There are 15 different genres represented on printable cards. Just print, cut, and play! Directions included in the packet. It doesn't matter what card you start on because it is a circular game. You will end up with the child you started with. The cards are printed in the order of the game, so you can print those off and put them in order on a book ring or shower clip to use as an answer key.

Call Number Scavenger Hunt *Editable to meet your needs!

This activity has been tested and used in my elementary school Media Center for years. Students LOVE it! This file has TWO complete Call Number Scavenger Hunts for your library. Each game has two jokes that the students will find the answers to, word by word, as they locate call numbers in the library where you have hidden the Clue Cards provided. The file is editable, so you can change any call numbers that you do not use in your library easily. Since the students will not have had enough with these two games, you can also use it as a template to make more scavenger hunts!! Answer keys provided.
