Why scale up shapes on paper when you can do it on the playground! These task cards will get your students scaling up shapes and drawing them on the playground using chalk. These task cards will give your students lots of practise at ratio & proportion and measuring.

This foldable activity consists of 2 differentiated cootie catchers (or fortune tellers) for learning or revising converting fractions to decimals. The children must look at the fraction given, convert it to a decimal, and fold back the paper to see if they’re right. It’s a great way to have students review their knowledge and not even realise that they’re learning! They’ll be engaged and excited with this addictive activity (as I am sure you will be too!).
This pack contains two Cootie Catchers, each with a second copy included if you would like your students to write the equivalent decimal for each fraction themselves. There are visuals included to meet different learning styles.
Folding and playing directions are also included.

This board game is a great way for students to practise elapsed time problems without them even realising they’re learning. The game is ideal for 2 – 4 players and only needs the board, some counters, and some dice to play. They’ll roll the dice to progress along the board, landing on squares with elapsed time problems that they must work out and move their counter accordingly. The space map is a great cross-curricular activity to get children to think about the size of the planets in relation to each other as well as the distances between them. Get children to create a line of planets using the planet sizes table by drawing them on chalk on the playground. If space is limited it is good to do the sun as a whole class due to the massive size! As an extension you can get the children to write in between each planet the distance it is away from the sun as well as any fun facts they can think of or find out.
