A great lesson about the water cycle. Students look at key terminology & rhyming words (which help them to create their poem). They then create a piece of poetry. Mark scheme included (that the pupils create). These just need printing & cutting up. Saves a lot of time.

A lesson that provides the detailed information and mindmap outline relating to the causes, effects and responses to the coronavirus. Students use the information sheet to create their own mindmap relating to the coronavirus. Once completed, they can then go onto write an article, create a role play (news broadcast) or write a government leaflet advising people on the virus. It is also a good tool for enabling understanding of the reliability of statistics and data and how quickly data can change. All sheets work best when printed in A3.

A lesson that provides students with an opportunity to develop and practice a wide range of data presentation and mapping skills based around tropical storms.

A lesson that allows students to use a wide rage of skills in a really fun and engaging way. Pupils design their character and vehicle and present there characteristics through detailed data presentation. They then lead their troops to the alien base to defeat the enemy. It’s probably the best lesson that I have created and my kids loved it. Best used over 2 1hr lessons and with kids that have a basic grasp of maps and data, but it is not essential.

A really fun lesson that the kids loved. They create their own island and use a range of skills to locate the hidden WIFI code . Skills are taught as it is delivered or it could be used for revision. Clear instructions are included or all skills needed.

A lesson that allows pupils to identify how the world plays a part in their lives. Students look at where goods are made and map them. They then identify the reasons why things are made where they are. I used this as a two part lesson on My World.

Resources for teaching about the Hoover Dam. Students use the links in the powerpoint to make notes on the info sheet. They then create a short presentation (extended writing). It is very simple, but very effective.

A great lesson that provides students with an understanding of the Great Barrier Reef and the threats to its future. The first lesson is information gathering. They then use this newly found information to create a story. My kids really enjoyed this.
