This is a non-fiction (fact file) reading comprehension based around life during World War 2. Designed for year 2 pupils to rehearse reading comprehension to support the SATS tests. • Differentiated into a task for those working towards greater depth, working at the expected standard and those working towards the expected standard. There are a variety of questions and answer types in order to prepare them for the year 2 SATS. • The tasks provide you with some valuable evidence for SATs judgments and moderation. • Could be used as Guided reading resource. Also includes a scaffolded version for a lower ability group to work on independently. It focuses on a small section of the text and uses the Colourful Semantics ideas to help them build sentences relating to the text.
