I have a variety of resources covering AQA GCSE Science as well as OCR A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. There are also some PD resources and whole school assemblies.
I have a variety of resources covering AQA GCSE Science as well as OCR A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. There are also some PD resources and whole school assemblies.
A pair of lessons and a worksheet covering sections 5.1.4 a-i of the OCR Physics specification- the gas laws
It covers:
The gas laws
The ideal gas
Kinetic theory
The effect of newtons Laws
Internal energy
PAG 8
The two lessons and the PAG take around 5 hours in total.
All answers are included
I generally try to reduce copying so other than the worksheet all resources are found in the lesson PPT
A complete lesson covering section 5.2.1 and 5.2.2 of the OCR Physics specification- circular motion
It covers circular motion, centripetal force and acceleration and all associated equations. The lesson closes with a practical investigating and analysing circular motion
Lots of students activities included
All activities in PPT as I aim to reduce photos=copying
A complete lesson covering points 5.5.1 b-f of the OCR Physics specification- the life cycle of stars. It starts with the formation of stars from dust and gas then works though the various stages of the life cycle for all sizes of stars. It includes the Chandrasekhar limit as a determiner of which cycle a star will go through. It includes links to several videos on you-tube and a card sort work sheet.
The lesson includes lots of independent tasks including a variety of calculation questions
All answers included
I aim tor educe photocopying so the majority of activities are in the PPT- 38 slides in total
A set of two lessons thats covers all of the learning points in section 5.4 of the OCR physics specification- gravitational fields.
The lessons cover:
Point and spherical masses
Newtons law of gravitation
Planetary motion
Gravitational potential and energy
Includes lots of independent student activities
All answers included
I aim to reduce photocopying so all activities are with the PPT (31 and 41 slides)
A complete lesson covering sections 5.5.1e and 5.5.3 a-k of the OCR Physics specification- stellar radiation and luminosity and stellar spectrum. It starts by looking at the way that objects produce electromagnetic radiation and the link to temperature. It then looks at Wien’s displacement law and Stefan’s law including calculations and comparisons of luminosity and temperature. It then move son to look at spectra and how electrons produce photons of light after being excited. It then closes by looking at the difference between emission and absorption spectrum and how they can be sued to analyse stars.
Includes lots of independent activities
All answer included
I aim to reduce photocopying so all resources are in the PPT- 49 slides in total
A complete lesson covering sections 5.5.3 d-o of the OCR Physics specification- the big bang theory, the cosmological principle, the Doppler effect and red shift.
The lesson starts by covering the Doppler effect in sound and how this also applies to red shift in light. It the covers how this and CMBR act as evidence for the origins of the universe in the big bang. It covers the Hubble constant, how its value is not exact and how it can be sued to estimate the age of the universe. The lesson closes by looking at the events immediately following the big bang and how the universe is believed to have changed.
The lesson includes lots of calculations and multiple student activities
All answers are provided
I aim tor educe photocopying so all resources are within the PPT- a total of 50 slides
A bundle of 4 lessons covering all the specification points in OCR Physics section 5.5 - cosmology and astrophysics-
Stars
Electromagnetic radiation from stars
Wein’s law and Stefan’s law
Hubble constant
Cosmology
Doppler effect
The big bang theory
All answers are included
I am to reduce photocopying so all resources (except one) are in the PPT
A complete revision lesson covering section 6.5.1-3 of the AQA trilogy course- forces.
It covers forces and their interactions, work done and energy transfer and elasticity.
The lesson includes a variety of student led activities, retrieval practice and exam questions
All answers provided
