Blank Timetable Template - can be edited electronically - 6 period day

(0)
Exactly what the title says! A blank, 6 period day, timetable template. Useful to give to students to copy up their weekly timetable or for teachers to display on the wall to show primary classes which lessons are scheduled for when. Uploaded as a Word document so it can be coloured/typed on to suit. There's a five period day uploaded separately if that helps! Enjoy!

Calculating Break-even Challenge Sheet

A differentiated sheet for use when teaching break-even calculations. Space at the top (cheat space) for some learners to write the break-even formula, if they’re going to struggle. Enjoy, for free!

Working Capital Booklet GCSE Business Studies

(2)
This is a four page booklet designed for GCSE Business Studies to introduce Working Capital. Students must first (on page 2) decide whether each item is an asset or liability and whether the assets are fixed or current and the liabilities are long-term or current. On page 3 they review what assets and liabilities are. On page 4 they must write the formula for working capital (Current Assets - Current Liabilities) and then calculate in an exam style question. Enjoy!

Pose Pause Pounce Bounce Questioning Tool - Cross Curricular - Any Age and FREE!!!

I've been doing some work on planning for questioning and come up with this presentation as a tool to improve my questioning technique. I plan the questions I am going to ask and use Pose, Pause, Pounce, Bounce (NOT MY IDEA!) - I think this is a concept from Teacher Toolkit, though I could be wrong. My idea is the planning tool and the wait time. Teachers should write their planned questions on separate slides using the template, perhaps moving the circle in the top right hand corner to identify whether the question is open or closed (this helps me to ensure the majority of the questions I ask are open questions). Use the tool for a starter or plenary by showing the question (by clicking the yellow POSE button). Allow 15 seconds thinking time (by clicking the PAUSE button), the soothing Jeopardy music will play. Click POUNCE to ask for an answer from the student and then BOUNCE to ask the student to select someone who will answer the next question (or the teacher could do this). I hope this helps! Enjoy.

Bush Tucker Trial Starters Template!

An editable template for a great starter activity (or plenary/review!). Simply change the questions on the wooden panels. Delete and resize if you need less panels. The 2nd slide is differentiated, so the more challenging questions are at the end. I don't own the format, obviously, so this resource is shared for free. I add the theme tune too, but for copyright reasons I can't share on TES! Enjoy!

Business Proposal - an EASY introduction to Business Studies (display opportunity)

Print this sheet on A3. This is a quite engaging and relatively accessible start to Business Studies, particularly for Year 9 or low ability groups OR useful for PSHE or Enterprise lessons. They DRAW their idea for a business (there’s a shop front, so most will come up with businesses in retail, though could equally be a service based business like Estate Agents etc.). They then design a logo, flyer and come up with a business name. After this (which is a good introduction), I teach GOODS and SERVICES and SECTORS then get them to complete their sheet fully. I also get them to colour and make it look good for display. I’ve also included a version I made for new students who had just arrived from Poland. Enjoy.

Python Programming Lesson 1a (FREE!). ASCII Art / Print Command - FUN with Python Code

This is a fun activity idea taken from my Python series of lessons. IT IS NOT A FULL LESSON, it's just a sample of what my paid resources look like and helps me balance my premium and free resources. My premium resources are all FULL lessons with full differentiated outcomes, student handouts and stretch activities for higher abilities. This particular activity a fun task using Python version 3 which introduces ASCII code and gets your students to create their own ASCII Art from characters using Python Print commands. It's not available in my paid resources, so if you've bought the lessons you should also download this activity! Enjoy.

Reward Coupon - Teacher IOU Template - 8 per page - Positive Behaviour

(1)
Easy to fill in coupons to reward positive behaviour or good work. 8 per page, so they're small enough to print a shed load and have them at hand when marking or teaching. Teachers just need to fill in the 'IOU' circle with the reward being given (we use VIVOs and just fill in IOU 10 Vivos, but this could easily be house points, commendations etc.) A tangible method of rewarding your students - they do something good, they something immediately. I get students to fill their name in on the coupon and 'post' them to me so I can reward later in the day when it's more convenient! Enjoy, for free!

Fortnite™ Starter Template (Differentiated) ANY SUBJECT!

(1)
Please note: Fortnite is obviously not my product, this is for education purposes only, NOT for sale, and no copyright material is used within this resource AT ALL. This editable single slide starter has space for five differentiated questions and is based around a Fortnite™ theme. It’ll make the start of your lesson a little more engaging and should grab the attention of boys in particular, as well as making you look cooler! You MUST follow the question categories in order (below) otherwise they’ll catch you out and it’ll show you know nothing about Fortnite! Categories are based on the rarity of weapons within the game. Common - easiest question Uncommon Rare Epic Legendary - the most difficult question Alternative use: You could put more than one question in each box and direct different groups of students to complete each box. Fortnite itself is PEGI rated for players 12+ - so not a good idea to use this in a Primary setting.

Instruction Sheet - How to link YouTube clips to PowerPoint 2013 onwards Method2

(1)
These instructions show you step by step how to LINK to a YouTube clip from your lesson PowerPoints. There are more complicated instructions to actually EMBED clips into your presentations within my resources (free). Once set up, you click the link within your presentation and then you'll be taken directly to your chosen clip. This saves having the link, copying and pasting it in, and then loading up YouTube and makes for a more professional approach to presenting your lesson. These instructions are correct at the time of writing and work for most versions of PowerPoint. There's no need to feedback if they don't work for you, it might be your computer/version. Enjoy!
