This is based on the rough science idea. Pupils have to design a rocket lander to bring a payload (of an egg) to earth safely. There are some rules, and they can only test it with the egg once. When they have completed their testing there is an evaluation sheet to complete and a certificate attached to reward pupils who land the egg safely

a survival science module i wrote and developed, that covers classification, food chains, populations, it has animal cards to allow pupils to make food chains and food webs. also covers sundials (you can get a template for these online) and rocks as well as containing a level assessed task on distillation

can be printed onto sticky labels and issued to a department to aid marking, formatted to give a good marking sandwich where you provide a positive comment on the work, give it a grade/level and provide a suggestion for how to improve the piece of work.
