Mass energy equations in nuclear physics

(0)
This senior physics equation introduces the concept of mass energy and how we can use the equation E=MC2 to make calculation about energy released in nuclear reactions. The lesson in the form of a power point includes worked examples and also student activities to test learning.

Angry birds - projectile motion

(1)
This lesson involves using angry birds as a context to develop understanding of projectile motion and the affect of gravity on objects. The lesson is in 3 parts: Part one is notes and questions to test student understanding of projectile motion including breaking down the horizontal and vertical components of this motion. Part two then introduces the concept of gravity acting on an object and how mass and distance from objects changes the force of gravity. Part three is an activity where students apply their knowledge of projectile motion to design a new angry bird.

Electromagnetism

8 Resources
This bundle is a series of lessons designed for a senior physics class (14 - 16 years old). The lessons link the phenomenon of magnetism to electricity and how both can be generated. The lessons all include worked examples of calculation involved in electromagnetic induction and how to determine the directions of both electric and magnetic fields. The lessons also include student activities to test their understandings of the topic.
