A-Z resources

Average Rating4.17

Hi, I hope you find these resources useful I have been teaching in primary for over 20 years. These days I am a supply teacher and I run an 'information' site for teachers and parents. All my resources I have used in schools over my time teaching. My resources take inspiration from all the experiences and ideas I have had from working full time, supply work, and one-one tuition with children up to KS4. I thank all the colleagues who have input into my resources in one way or another.

Found the Understanding World, PSHE and Arts- can't remember where- thanks to whoever it was that made them!! Have used the same format to produce one for Maths, Communication and Literacy as well as Physical Development. Each card has the new (2012) ELG and the KS1 NC. Hope they come in handy for those of us with mixed phase/age classes...

NC assessment/planning grid

This is a grid I set up so I could easily see the PoS from the National Curriculum for all topics (except English, Maths and RE). I use it to check I've covered everything- tend to highlight it as I go along. Hope it helps. Probably need to blow up to A3!!

These grids allow you to write children's names or initials into the relevant column (emerging, secure, confident). Also gives a key for different colours depending on the time of year.\nIt also gives you the development matters statements.\nHope this is useful.

This is the 2014 curriculum. It has the topic and objectives for each area of the new maths curriculum for year 1. There is space for the week and date- so could be used as a long term/medium term planning document.\nHope it is of some use.

I have been tutoring children to be able to answer 11+ type questions and have made these resources which I thought I'd share. Lots of puzzles and language activities. Verbal reasoning activities found in 11+ tests. Great for 5 minute fillers.

Notebooks and resources relating to Moon Man by Toni Ungerer. This is a lovely book about the moon man coming to earth and the issues he faces because he is different!

A journey through the Earth's crust showing the children the different layers. Saw something similar on Twinkl (I think). Wanted to make my own for my class.

A collection of different planning documents I have used-from individual subjects to topics, single lessons to whole weeks. Often change my formats- to find one that works. Thought it be good to share so others can get ideas.

Objectives for each area of the KS1 and KS2 maths curriculum. All of the year on one sheet, separated into the 3 terms. Hope these are useful to see how all objectives fit as well as progression through the years.
