Here is a lesson all about muscles. I made this for a year 3 class. The lesson includes: WALT: know why we need muscles to move chnildren re taught about how muscles allow movement - look s at the 3 types of muscles found in the body - skeletal, smooth, cardiac. with a description There are a couple of links t videos within the powerpoint to watch and make notes on. I use this with a Year 5 class but can be adated for younger if needed. This resource is half a terms worth of lessons. included in each lesson is Session 1 - Background on bug shelters. Session 2 - To practise making joints. Session 3 - Create a prototype. Session 4 - Start making a bug shelter- frame of the shelter. Session 5 - Carry on making a bug shelter Session 6 - Put on final touches to the bug shelter Session 7 - Evaluate your shelter. There are videos and links to support the learning. The end goal is to create a bug shelter using wood and strengthening it with triangles. Then pack it out with natural materials from the environment and recyclable materials.

This powerpoint is for KS2 it goes through the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. It starts by discussing who he is and why he is famous. It introduces Howard Carter and Lord Carnavon and the dates at each point of the excavation. It goes through each part of the tomb and what was found in each part, it has a map of each section. This could be used as a stimulus for a topic session or for a writing session.

This is a powerpoint on the Bauhaus. We were concentrating on architecture and looking at the simpleness of this building. We linked this to 3D shapes and nets of cubes and cuboids. The children are then asked to create cuboids and make their own building as part of the lesson. links to art and maths.

Lower and middle ability word problems. There are problems and bar modelling included so the children do not have to draw the bar. I used this with children who are working within the year 1/2 curriculum.

Division word problems that include the 2,3,4,5 and 10 times tables. Can be used with the sharing method, number line or short division depending on where the children are in their learning

Powerpoint includes three lessons - sketch books - looking at different styles of masks and the patterns that are included within them. Children to practise their patterns and what they weant to include on their masks. I also got the children to practise mixing colours in this lesson aswell ready for the decorating session. make the mask - gores through step by step each process - photos included decorate the mask - shows different ideas for the children to use and decorate their masks I completed this over four sessions due to waiting for the glue to dry and then the paint before we could decorate. Children really enjoyed this activity

This powerpoint is a whole lesson. slide 1 - the Vikings first voyage to England and where they landed and what happened. slide 2 - planned mission to Lindisfarne and why slide 3 - what the monks thought about it slide 4 - what happened at Lindisfarne Followed by 4 activities for the children to complete. I used this powerpoint and had it printed for the children so they could go back and answer the questions. The activities are true/ false statements - where they have to prove their answers (answers on the last slide) Write a description from the monks point of view Draw a picture and write a description of what the Vikings may have stolen Write a view of Lindisfarne from a Viking I wouldn’t always use all four activities, just depends on how quickly your children work. Or i would give my highers more slides to complete.
