‘How are you feeling?’ Inside Out Worksheet
This worksheet gives children the space to communicate their feelings to the adults around them. The worksheet links to the Disney movie Inside Out by including their characters as emotions the children might be feeling. There is space on the worksheet for the children to explain why they are feeling a certain way and an optional tick box to indicate whether they want to discuss this further with an adult.
Somebody Swallowed Stanley Literacy Lessons
This powerpoint includes 7 weeks worth of literacy activities based on the book Somebody Swallowed Stanley by Sarah Roberts. Week 1 looks at character emotions, speech/thought bubbles and alliteration. Week 2 looks at the author Sarah Roberts and the issue of plastic pollution in our seas to prepare children for making their own news report in week 3. Week 4 looks at how people around the world have reused plastic in various sculptures and artwork, children will follow instructions to make a kite, discuss the importance of instructions and write their own set including imperative verbs.
Week 5 explores expanded noun phrases and children creating their own characters. Week 6 looks at children planning their own rewrite of the story using their characters by making a story map. Lastly, week 7 looks at children using their story map to write up their story and make edits to improve it. These lessons are aimed at a year 2 class, however they can be easily adapted for other year groups. The National Curriculum outcomes for year 2 English are in the notes on each slide along with guidance, suggestions and additional resources. There are videos, pictures and diagrams throughout the presentation.

Days of the Week Worksheet
On this worksheet children have to put the days of the week into the correct order then complete the table by identifying the day before (yesterday) and day after (tomorrow) from a particular day of the week.
Fractions Worksheets (half of objects, shapes and quantities)
These worksheets focus on the fraction of a half (1/2). Children have to circle the shape or object that correctly shows a half and explain their answer. Children also have to colour half of the shapes or objects and draw a line on some shapes or objects to display a half. Children also have to draw a circle around half of the quantity and then complete the sentence (e.g. ‘half of 6 is 3’).
