I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

This is a couple of worksheets that were created for the introduction of area at KS3 and developing into the formula for the rectangle. Squares are covered as is perimeter Area Of Irregular Shapes provides you with four larger than average shapes on a cm square grid to find the area of - I usually ask the class which shape has the largest area and then everyone finds the area of at least two shapes. Area Of Rectangles finding the area of rectangles on a cm square grid - leading to the formula A = Length x Width.

The Area Of Any Triangle with answers

The Area Of Any Triangle is a great worksheet for practicing Sine and Cosine rule and the formula Area = 0.5abSin©. It is aimed at grade 7 - 9 students. There are four different types of questions. Simple - given two sides and the included angle, use the formula to find the area. Given the area, find a side or an angle. Harder - decide which angle you need to be able to find the area and then use the Sine rule or Cosine rule to find it first. Applications - finding the area and then using the area to find the shortest distance from one vertex to the opposite side. Recently added - An extra page with some level 9 questions involving surds and the are of a parallelogram - a couple of nice questions I found which you may find useful. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you
