Take a step back and look at the basic, key maths skills. particularly useful for years 2-4 SEND children who are struggling.
Simple questioning, using number walls and some paper can easily find out the child’s ability.
With practise you can get this done in 10 minutes.
Sort the results into the ‘nearly achieved’ and your focus / areas to target are found.
Revisit or tick off each time it has been achieved. Try and use the rule of three. Cover those aspects three times before moving on. Don’t forget to revisit.
