This little spreadsheet exercise helps students to know where cells are and they then colour them into make a Santa. This is ideal for low-level KS3 students or KS2 students to help them map cells to places on a spreadsheet. (I still can't believe how quiet it kept the year 8's whilst they did it.)

This project encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning and improve the use of ICT in school. This could be a one-off project in an ICT lesson, a project extension for gifted and talented or something that school council investigates. It also could also be connected to a Digital Leaders project.

This project is designed to help students to think about the safe use of Social Networking sites in the guise of designing a leaflet for parents. Very useful, especially for year 9's who believe that they already know it all. Once made, sometimes the students create quality projects that are worth sharing with the parents. This project does NOT require any direct access to Social Networking sites, so is useful for schools who block Facebook etc.

This little PowerPoint generates random interview questions that can be asked for school magazines, speaking and listening skills and idea generators for interview pieces. (Made it for Performing Arts enrichment, so that students can interview the cast.)

This is aimed at parents and teachers to help them understand the keywords and concepts in Computational Thinking. This professional quality presentation is ideal for parent workshops and professional training of primary teachers. Concepts covered include, Algorithms, decomposition, logic, patterns, abstraction and evaluation. (Basic Chinese is supplied to help Chinese parents, but can easily be removed)

This lesson shows students how to do effective slide builds for presentations. This is an important skill when presenting slide shows to slowly reveal information and keep the audience interested. This could also be used in English as part of their Speaking tasks.

Creating role-playing cards

This video shows you how to cut out an image and use it for a magazine or digital media. (Used Photoshop Elements 9, but the tool is available in Photoshop and most graphics packages)

Simple set of matching cards to help students understand demand and supply graph shifts. (Simply cut them up and get the students to work out how they go together.) Hope they save somebody ten minutes work.

This little PowerPoint randomiser whizzes through 20 writing prompts. Press the Up arrow key to stop it and space to space to start it again. You could also choose the prompts for you. For SEN students the visuals are useful to help engage students. Thanks to Writing Prompts Blog for most of the ideas. I have localised and added to the original 15.

I made this for code club, but could easily be used as part of any game making course. It could also be used in English to develop characters for fiction and to encourage reluctant writers.
