Hello all! I'm Jinky, a primary maths teacher and Maths Academic Coordinator at Beaconhouse Yamsaard Rangsit, Thailand. One of my joy is to find time to take photos of anything I think interesting. If I am not chasing cats or taking photos, I am busy with putting pieces together and come up with colourful banners, borders for paper, numbers and alphabet. I am offering discounts for my resources from time to time. So, please check out my page. 'Thank you' for stopping by.

Cardinal and Ordinal Direction Poster

Direction is one of the basic geography concepts that students need to master before moving on to reading maps and diagrams. I used this poster to expain the ‘clockwise’ and ‘anti-clockwise’ and the angles (45, 90, 135 degrees etc) between a cardinal and an ordinal direction. A great classroom game too. Afterwards, I used a real map to ask the students to name different places located in different directions. I displayed this poster for the students to relate to when reading maps during their free time.
