Two differentiated worksheets for showing where halves and quarters are on a number line. Two differentiated worksheets for multiplying one-digit numbers by 10. A visual resource using place value grids to move the digit from the ones column to the tens column and adding 0 as a place holder to find the answer. Perfect for introducing Year 1 or Year 2 children to multiplying by 10, or recapping the topic with Year 3 or above. The worksheets are differentiated two ways, with more support given with an example completed on one and a reminder of the method. A challenge/extension task is also included at the end of each worksheet for the children to multiply by 10 without using a place value grid.

Questions and Commands Presentation and Worksheets

(0)
A PowerPoint presentation and 3 differentiated worksheets on questions and commands, ideal for a SPAG lesson or general English lesson in Year 2 or Year 3, or revision on questions and commands in any year group in KS2. Activities and questions are clear and engaging, and are useful for teaching children about when to use an exclamation mark or a question mark at the end of sentences. Some questions also ask to turn a command into a question, and vice versa. I recently used these worksheets for an observed lesson in a mixed ability Year 2 class in which children enjoyed completing and made very good progress, with the lesson being graded as ‘Outstanding’
