Electromagnetic waves - a really student-moving starter for FREE before your teaching starts! You can complete it with my full presentation pack.
Print the sheets, copy the files, hide the cues in the classroom and you are done. Play the starter, then deliver material of your own or provided by the curriculum - OR buy my complete presentation with interesting examples for ALL 7 ranges of the spectrum, plus a little extra work saver for you, which you wonβt regret! See short instructions (PDF), attached here, for details.
Aimed at 13-14-year-olds but should work anywhere between 12-16.
Introductory level, good for GCSE/IGCSE, IB MYP, or any class that is familiar with the basics of waves; no prior knowledge of EM waves is needed.
Sheets as PDF, but also as LibreOffice document (ODT), in case you would like to change anything; the latter should open in MS Word as well. The LibreOffice document had to be zipped (tes.com compatibility problem).
Have taught this for 6 years myself and tweaked it a bit each time to reach completion. Donβt hesitate to buy also the complete pack, Iβve done all the legwork for you, you will find true quality! All the best to your lesson introducing EM radiation!
