Je me presente / I introduce myself

A little worksheet for Yr7 or for revision with Yr8 on introducing yourself. I have got the students to match up keywords first, then read an example of ID card, work out what it means and adapt it to write their own followed by a short paragraph using key conjugated verbs available. Enjoy and don't forget to feedback! :-)

9 Letter word activity for tutorial

Here is a 9 letter word activity for tutorial. Students have to find the nine letter word and as many words with a least 2, 3, 4, 5 letters. You can vary the difficulty. I have used this in tutorial to have with spelling. Be careful if you project this on overhead projector as answer is the name of the file and some students will probably see this. You can just quickly write the letters on board or change file name. Enjoy and don't forget to feedback! :-)

Then they can trace their own map of France and do their own weather forecast or for HWK get a map from a country in the world and do weather forecast. Enjoy and don't forget to feedback! :-)

An activity I have designed about pastimes in French. Would suit Yr9, Yr10, Yr11. I have used it as a starter. Students go around the class and ask each other for the answers. Each person who gives an answer signs their initials. The idea is to try and get your students to communicate with everyone in the room. Enjoy and don't forget to feedback :-)

En vacances / On Holidays

Gap filling exercise which I designed for my Yr10 on holidays on town. I gave each student a different strip and they then go around the class asking each other for some words they haven't got. The complete text is on the first strip for the teacher. Then, I got students to do the worksheet attached (questions, vrai ou faux, translate and adapt text to write about their holidays or creative writing). Enjoy and don't forget to feedback :-)

La Meteo/ The weather

La Meteo/ The weather

Gap filling exercise which I designed for my Yr9 on the weather (I guess would be suitable for Yr8 top set or Yr10 too). Text has both present/future weather forecast. I gave each student a different strip and they then go around the class asking each other for some words they haven't got, reading the text in French. It's differentiated so you can give out strips according to your students' ability. The strips get harder and harder. The complete text is on the last strip for the teacher to help if needed. Then, I got students to translate text in English followed by adapting it to write a weather forecast about France or another country they like. Enjoy and don't forget to feedback :-)
