This is a wonderful bundle of activities to get into the spirit of the UEFA Euro Championship Football / Soccer Tournament 2024
FYI the tournament group stages begins June 14th and the final takes place on July 14th
This bundle contains the following:
–A 24-term wordsearch of the teams taking part in the football / soccer championship
–A fun labelling activity where the kids need to write the name of the country under the correct ball, by looking at the flag / colours of the football (answer bank included)
You could extend this activity further by asking kids to research the significance of colours in certain flags etc
–An updated 20-question Euros quiz based on facts from the history of the Euro tournaments. There are three versions of this activity:
• the first is for kids who will need more of a challenge as it requires them to do their own research to answer the questions – 1 page
• the second is the same as above but spread across two pages
• the third is the same as above but includes an answer bank (differentiation)
All activities have solutions / answers.

Resource 1: The Binary Pixel Art activity introduces kids to the idea of Binary numbers and gives a quick introduction of how to convert Binary numbers to decimal numbers. Kids will then need to convert simple Binary numbers to decimal numbers for 7 Halloween-themed designs to correctly colour them in. There are also 2 additional templates for kids to create their own design and coded version.
Resource 2: This is a differentiated version of the above activity for kids who may find the Binary-decimal conversions too challenging. Nevertheless, they will still have some computing exposure through the understanding of computer images made from individual blocks of color, as well as ICT skills through the use of MS Excel tools.

These were used with Year / Grade 5 children when they were reading Roald Dahl stories and they thoroughly enjoyed them (and older (or younger!) children will enjoy them too.) These were used in class as a starter, to support their recollection of events in the books, as well as to reinforce spellings. They were also used with students as part of World Book Day celebrations and as part of school library sessions to promote the love of reading.
This pack contains 4 separate activities.
The first is a 2-page activity, for which the kids need to name, trace and then design (colouring, painting, glittering etc) each of the featured dinosaurs (grey silhouettes). There is a table of names on page 2 which the kids can use to help them name the dinos. A file with the dinosaur silhouettes and their names is included.
The second two activities are wordsearches. One has 15 dinosaurs to find, and the other has 30 dinosaurs to find. Each one also features 5 black silhouettes of popular dinosaurs which the kids to try to name.
Wordsearches are a great way to reinforce key terms, enhance vocabulary, help with spelling as well as pattern recognition. They are great for the classroom, at home and events.
The last activity is a wonderful anagrams activity. The kids need to read the (often strange) set of words and then rearrange the letters to figure out the name of the dinosaur. ‘carpet riots’ anyone? (Answer file included)

These are a collection of wordsearches of high frequency words for grades / years 5 and 6.
There are two for grade 5 and six for grade 6.
The wordsearches contain an instruction for a challenge to complete sentences using the words from the wordsearch.
These wordsearch activities reinforce spellings, help strengthen a child’s vocabulary, emphasise pattern recognition and are great for practicing drawing lines! The additional tasks allow the child to demonstrate their understanding of the words.
