I used this resource in a IGCSE class studying the Coasts topic, focusing on Wave-Cut Platforms. 26 slide PPT includes: Revision questions about coastal landforms: stacks, arches, headlands, bays Revision slides about the main types of coastal erosion - hydraulic action, abrasion, solution, attrition. slide with a written explanation of the formations of a wave-cut platform using key words: erosion, notch, undercutting, overhang, cliff retreat slide with embedded video showing an animation of the wave-cut platform formation process various photos and diagrams showing the process The last slide has an annotated sketch and written task that can be completed using the information from the PPT. This filled a 60 minute lesson.

The content of the PPT could be used to generate more tasksheet, discussion activities. PPT breakdown. 32 slides cover the following content: lesson objectives, key words and syllabus links. the 3 P’s of earthquake preparadness - predict, plan and prepare Tips to follow in an earthquake event Engineering techniques that can be used to make buildings more earthquake resistant, includeing padded foundations, dampeners, shock absorbers, cross bracing, deep foundations. Each method has a small animation to aid in the explantion The final slide has two tasks for the students to complete - a sketch task of an earthquake resistance builidng, and a written explanation of the 3 P’s.

This pack contains material for 2 lessons that I used with a Year 7 History class studying medical history. Pack includes: Lesson 1 - Medieval Medicine. PPT contains information about: theories that caused illness, the four humours, how illness was investigated, how the sick were treated/cured, barber surgeons. Task sheet included with questions that can be answers using the PPT, or used for class discussion. Lesson 2 - Crime and Punishment. 2 PPTs contain the following: medieval crimes and how they were dealt with, the various punishments and trails (trail by water, trial by fire, trial by combat etc), who kept the peace, comparison with punishments used in modern society. I used this PPT in an IGCSE class studying Topic 1.3 Migration.
