Pupils found this very useful. There are two 10 mark questions (explain why America expanded and why the Civil War started) and an essay question on Reconstruction. OCR SHP B: Crime and Punishment - Overview of society 1500-1750

This resource follows the same format as the lesson focused on the overview between 1250-1500. Pupils complete a 'clock sheet' with the various key features that was typical for this period. This resource has been differentiated on some sections of the clock sheet to help pupils access the reading. Pupils then highlight the key changes and continuities. After these two tasks, pupils listen to a podcast (accessed through the dynamic learning website) and note down the key social, political and religious changes. This lesson is a good 'way in' to this period.
