I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding.
They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources.

Zooming Descriptions [What Am I?] [2b], using the “zooming” coding I simply chose, in this case a fruit, and googled a number of simple facts which become the “zooming descriptions” with a picture as the final clue. The possibilities for this simple type of activity could provide endless learning for all levels of ability.

Using the same coding as for the map co-ordinates activity I thought that by adding some drop down menu coding I could create an activity involving comparison and estimation. Version [a] still involves a grid to help work out the area in “squares”, whereas version [b] has no such assistance.

Another activity based on a game from Richard Osman’s House of Games [BBC2]. It was harder to find the rhyming words with these particular topics of fruit and vegetables than I thought. Although maybe a useful extension activity the research part is very time consuming.

I thought a comprehension quiz may be a useful tool. Learners are in control of the video clip so they can stop, replay or fast forward to the information required.

Obviously based on the counter game but again with a knowledge and tactical basis. I have created 3 differentiated versions, [a] is simply a series of generic topic labels, version [b] adds the dimension of specific alphabetic starting letters and version [c] is similar but with perhaps more difficult starting letters. Both sets of letters and topic labels can be easily changed.

I came across a piece of coding which allows you to input two pictures. A blue button appears in the centre of the pictures which you can move to the left [allowing you to see the complete top picture] or to the right [allowing you to see the complete bottom picture]. What it does do is allow you to compare two pictures quickly. My first thought were a set of “spot the difference” pictures I had and have used before but secondly was a set of “then and now pictures” I found and I will add these later.
