The maths behind the coronavirus unit of work
This resource contains three lessons on the maths behind the coronavirus, useful for students in year five to nine. Each lesson is planned with warm ups (starters), main, and cool downs (plenary), and worksheets to complete in the lesson.
Lesson one focuses on how the economy rapidly changed during this period of time.
Lesson two focuses on vaccines, and how we can use maths to help create the perfect vaccine.
Lesson three focuses on the maths behind social distancing and how we can use data and statistics to back up our points and make factual statements.
