Students are encouraging to think about what wealthy countries can do to support and tackle these issues such as: child soldiers, modern slavery and torture. This lesson should be taught after students have researched the initial conferences in the 1940s. In this lesson students recap the events of the conferences at Tehran, Yalta and Potsdam. They then begin to consider the impacts of the development, testing and use of the atomic bomb. Plenty here to keep students busy and 2 video clip links are included to extend student understanding. There aren’t many September 11th lessons out there so here’s one! Now updated to include newer sliders and embedded clip. The main objective is for students to gauge how ‘complete’ a BBC news clip is. The PowerPoint includes task descriptions but please ask if you can’t follow the lesson. Lego figures help to make the Feudal System a little less complex. Through reinforcing the idea of a hirearchy students begin to understand what the feudal system was and how it helped William control England.
